Does anyone on here have a Etrex, Legend or Vista that the rubber "band" that goes around the outside of the unit is starting to come off? My less than year old Legend Cx started to lose the band in March. I sent it in for repairs & by the time June rolled around the replacement unit is going the same way.

Too bad they couldn't get rid of the band & just go w/ buttons.

Rubber band? Not getting what your saying, is it possible to take a picture? I had a Vista, there was a black rubber surface going around the outer sides. The only other rubber that I know of is the area around the battery compartment.

That's the piece I'm talking about. If the glue comes unstuck up here where the temperatures are moderate, I'd hate to see how long the glue lasts in Texas.

I never had that happen to my Vista, it gets pretty humid here during the summer time. Owned it for three years without any of that happening. Never heard this happening to any of these units either. Really don't know what to say other than send it back to Garmin. Sorry.

Try this>>> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=GPS+forums There might be something in these forums about GPS's you can use!
