Dead Deer

EHD or Blue Tongue as it is commonly referred to, is in the SW PA, WVA areas.

Blue tongue and ehd are similar, but are different diseases. Here is a good link http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/pr/1999/990729.htm, and this is a quote from that link

EHD can cause a bluetongue-like disease in cattle and is often fatal to white-tailed deer. Correctly identifying which virus an animal harbors is important for trade purposes. There is no cure for either bluetongue or EHD.

Dead deer

as far as dead deer go i havent found any...i live in central KY...."Garrard County" but however the deer are rather skinny....cause theres not that much to eat from the lack of rain we have a shortage of acorns, walnuts, berries....but "KY Afield" says itll be a great year for deer hunting cause the deer will be moving ALOT in search of food so as far as putting your trail cams on food plots and such ....ive had a lot of deer caught on cam ....so not such a bad thing though although it has rained the past 2 days here but a little late to nourish the trees and such ...but making the creeks and streams get fresh water!
