Guest Finn
Hey Guys, My uncle is looking for a cheaper commercial trailcamera and I'm not sure which is worth buying. Looking under $200, if possible. I have a couple homebrews but he's got Cabela's points to burn. Any recommendations? Thanks, Craig
wtnhunt
Have read good reviews on the new moultrie Craig. Might check out chasingame, here is a link http://www.chasingame.com/. Think the d-40 is one of their better low price cameras, cabelas has them listed for $99 I think.

wildside
We just used some of our Cabela's points to get the Moultrie Game Spy 4.0 Megapixel Digital Camera ($99). We should have it set up after work today. I'll let you know how we like it!

razortec_hunter
well dang for under 200$ there are a lot of options. if it were me i'd go with the moultrie game spy 100. it's 2.1 mega pixel with a 30 ft flash and it takes SD cards. i have been using it all season and have got some awesome pictures. and it's only like 80-99 $$
MUDRUNNER
I bought the new Moultrie D40 and it's a great cam for $99.I just looked at the pics Saturday from having it out for a week and I was pretty impressed.Out of 16 pics only 4 didn't capture anything, and I actually got a pic of a doe running by so the sensor seems pretty good.It also has a pic at night with a doe about 25ft. away,so the flash works good too.It takes the same sd card as our digital camera,so I can just take it to the trail cam and pop the sd card into it and view the pics in the field. It also came with a cord to hook directly into the T.V and view the pics that way which is pretty neat. nemodeerhuntersneighbor
I would go with a stealth cam v-450. It is 4 megapixel has a viewing screen and you can get it for $160 after the mail in rebate. You can get the i-450 for $119 after mail in but it doesn't have the viewer. I like them better than my cuddebacks.

Hoyt03
Moultries are a little wide for my liking. Go with a stealth wildview 2 mp or higher. They don't trigger that fast, but take pretty good pics. None of the cheaper cams will trigger as fast as you would like them to. Check out some of my recent pics from the cam in the photo room. WIwhitetailhunter
I was in Cabela's last Saturday and they had a Wildview 2.0 megapixle camera on sale. With the sale price and the rebate it had the camera went for about $60. It looked real easy to operate too. There were 3 or 4 switches to set the camera up. I'm not real sure what quality the Wildview's have but the price is cheap. Kinda wish I'd have gotten at least one. I might have to go back in the next day or two! Hoyt03
read my above post, they are simple to use and take decent pics. Look at a few of my recent photo posts in this forum and you can see some pics from the cam.
