MUDRUNNER
So,what was everybodies take on the new banking and concrete at Bristol? It was definately different then past Bristol races. It is multi groove now, which made for a lot of passing, and you can start in the back and still have a decent finish.I did miss the bump and runs and the more aggressive driving though.I don't think anybody even flipped the bird...which is not typical Bristol. OJR
Interesting! I didn't get a chance to see it because I was at a memorial roast for a Korean war veteran! Sounds like it was interesting! Best part of it was neither JG or JJ won! LOL!!
WHISKEYSWAMP
I was at the race (first bristol race for me) and was kind of disappointed there wasn't more action... first 130 with no caution kind of got boring. Seemed more like follow the leader to me the entire night. It was still worth going to just for the racing atmosphere.

MUDRUNNER
Sounds like a great time Whiskey!Bristol is one place I would love to go see a cup race at someday. From what I here it's quite an experience. How far away are you from Rossberg?I'll be there for the World 100 at Eldora in a couple of weeks. That's real racing.
Chrud
Once they get the right tire, the "new" Bristol will be pretty exciting. I'd much rather see side-by-side racing for 500 green laps than beating and banging and 150 laps of caution. I don't think the COT is the best car for that track though. It just doesn't seem like you can do a banzi run into the corner to pick up some spots/time. With the old car I bet there would have been some pretty breath taking slide jobs and cross-overs during the Cup race. Go up high to block and just dive bomb the car down to the bottom. I just don't see that with the COT though.
WHISKEYSWAMP
Eldora is a couple hours away... I use to go to sprint car races when I was younger but it's been quite a few years. Went to Eldora once to watch the World of Outlaws race. It was pretty awesome! You'll definitely have a great time.
