slugshooter Posted August 28, 2007 Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 Well, Kari and I decided that next May after I graduate that we are going to move back to our hometown of Ocala, FL where we first met in high school. She doesn't really like Fayetteville all that much (who does?) and she wants to be around family. I can't say that I really blame her living in Florida her whole life and moving up here to be with me took a great leap of faith. It's cheaper down there anyways and I am ready to leave Fayetteville also. I will miss North Carolina, just not Fayettenam. Tentative plans are for me to work for a year and apply for Graduate or Law school at the University of Florida so I don't get stuck with one year of out-of-state tuition, which is a 20K difference. All this really means is that once again I will be able to go to Daytona International and not worry about having to take 4 or 5 days off for the trip, I get to hunt Quail again, because I have lived up here 12 years and have only seen 5 Quail, and I have to learn how to hunt in Florida, of course it means that I get to hunt the Osceola turkey, which should be fun. It also means no more state income tax and vehicle property tax, etc. etc. It just feels weird because whenever I go down there, I am basically lost because it has changed so much. I guess I'll get used to it again though. LOL, good luck with the move. Pretty well grew up not far from there Marc, graduated from high school at West Orange in Winter Garden Florida in 87. Lived just outside Orlando for about 15 years. Ocala is not bad, some nice country out there. Last time I made it back down to that area was in 1995 I think, a lot had changed in just a couple years since I had left, cannot imagine what it is like now. Sounds like a recipe for how to spend the rest of your life married! Congrats on what sounds like a great plan. I couldn't do Florida because of the heat....my Lord the heat.
