iron buck
First thing I'd do is put this post in the ML room. You'll get lots of good feedback there.
dogdoc
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! 90 to 100 grains of powder is what i would recommend. 100 is probably the maximum you want to use with that gun.
BuckNrut
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! Contact Traditions at 860-388-4656 and get the FREE manual! I did this earlier this year and it took about 2 weeks to arrive. The maunal online is in PDF and the pages are not in order. In the mean time, tell us more about the gun - Model, caliber, and will you be shooting balls, sabbots, or both? BuckNrut
horst
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! Goto the muzzleloading room, read Blueelks chapters on muzzleloading. It will tell you how to work up the best load for your gun.
David_218
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! [ QUOTE ] How much powder would you recommend for a Traditions Black Powder Muzzleloader. Any help would be great. [/ QUOTE ] This really depends on caliber and the type of rifle you have and what type/weight of bullet you intend to use. Without knowing this, I would recomend starting at 80 grains (Volume) and work up to your most accurate load.
JimT
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! No more than 100gr for sure.
wtnhunt
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! Work up your load and see what gives you the best accuracy. Would also suggest as others have on checking bluelks ml chapters. Some great info in there.
AJ
Re: Muzzleloading help needed!!! What kind of powder? If you are shooting black powder or Pyrodex, I would start about 80-85 grains and work up to 100 grains, seeing what shoots the tightest groups. If you are shooting Tripple 7, reduce those numbers 10-15%.
