New year....New semester

Yup, January 10th is the first day of classes of the spring semester at college. Ihave 3 days fo work this week then I am taking from Thursday-Sunday off(well I get the weekend off anyway). The classes I am taking this semester are:

Recognition + Evaluation of Athletic Injuries (should be a great class, good stuff and my fav. prof!)

Physiology of Exercise and a Phys. of Ex. Lab (Should be good, interesting at least)

Principles of Church Recreation(another great professor)

Outdoor Leadership Training and an OLT Lab (should be interesting, lol)

Intro. to Psychology(not so sure about, heard the prof. is tough)

So anyone ever have any classes like these? I really like the professor for Rec + Eval. She is one of the athletic trainers so we know each other already. Funny thing is everyone hates her because she is tough but I love having her as a prof because her classes are a piece of cake for me just because I enjoy her and I come to every class on time, lol! Any other college people got their courses selected?

Re: New year....New semester

I can still remember my first year psychology classes.

When it gets close to the end of the first semester, you will be trying to psycho-analyze everything that has happened to you during your entire lifetime.

By the end of the second semester you will have realized that you have only learned enough to know when you yourself needs to see a psychiatrist.

It is a no-sweat class, unless it has changed a lot in the last 41 years, and I don't think an introductory course changes much. After all, Pavlov's dog has been dead for a long long time.

Re: New year....New semester

Oh yes TG: Plenty of Psychology here... should be a nice easy a for you, but I will confess... some of those Psychology classes are rather amusing.

Church Recreation? sounds like a foundations of principles of religion class (to me)... what does it involve... my guess would be the foundations of the Christian faith within the Church and the development of the Church through history (been there done that too)

As far as your sports injury classes... I'm guessing your majoring in Sports Medicine or Physical Therapy?

Hope they go well for you... Anatomy and Physiology is always fun!!!!

Re: New year....New semester

I have taken a couple psychology classes and thought they were pretty interesting and not too hard, but I guess that depends on the professor you get!

I am taking the following next semester:

-Physics and Physic's Lab (should be interesting)

-Fluid Power (not looking forward to this one!)

-Occupational Safety and Health (heard this one was pretty good)

-Industrial Statistics (I HATE stats....would rather take calculus again!!!!)

It is going to be a rough semester....want to trade schedules??? LOL

Re: New year....New semester

Well I was an athletic training major but they couldn't get the program accredited so they decided to not have the major so I'm a recreation major with hopes of finishing at this college and then getting into an athletic training program somewhere:-) Nah, I think I'll keep my schedule. Sorry Linda, your courses just aren't for me,lol

I am taking:

General Psychology (everyone says it demands studying)

Litigation (Law class)

Logistics (General required)

Wills and Trusts (Law class)

Blah..blah..blah..blah..blah (J/K)

The weirdest but ended up being the coolest class was Psychology of the Death and Dying... I learned some pretty bizarre things... lol
