LifeNRA
A friend gave me some arrows to fletch up for his son. I got some bare shafts never shot before. They are Easton Aluminum Hunters, 2419's. One of the them is a 2514, which is very thick in diameter. It wont fit into the jig! For some reason, I am starting to think he may have gotten the wrong arrows. His son's bow is I believe a 50-60 pound draw. Whether or not this is correct. What is the poundage ratings for these arrows before I decide to fletch them?
BowtechTurkeyHunter
According to Eastons Chart that arrow is for a bow that shoots a 29" arrow at 70+ pounds with a 100gr broad head out of a single cam bow. Steve

Steve Thanks Steve! I figured these arrows were for something much heavier than he is using! Now I have to warn them. If they want me to continue. What do they need to know or expect from these shafts? First off, I know they are way over spined for his bow.
JimPic
Those shafts are way too stiff for that bow

BowtechTurkeyHunter
I think what will happen is that he will have very poor arrow flight first off ... other then that since he is over spined and it is such a heavy arrow I dont think he will be hurting his bow ... deffanately needs to get fitted for the right arrows Steve
