Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
WOW...App. state came to play i guess, walked out of the big house with 2 point win..blocked michigans field goal attempt with 6 seconds left. of course i had to listen to it on the radio because of the stupid Big Ten network. from what i heard the defense played like crap the first half, but stepped it up in the second, and the offense was just flat, moving the ball but not getting it into the end zone. tough loss, but there are still 11 games left. wildside
Having been in the "Big House" for many games, I can attest to the fact that it really is a cool experience for college football fans. For anyone who simply loves football, it is something to put on your lifetime "to do" list. In over 19 years of living in the Ann Arbor area, here is one thing that I've never fully understood - why is Michigan consistantly rated in the preseason top 25, regardless of whether or not the team deserves it? If it's top 25 for coolest uniforms, Michigan should be #1. But it's not. While I wouldn't say that I'm happy about Saturday's loss, I have no problem saying that I hope the entire Michigan organization is humbled by it. It's not required for a team to look good, but it is required that a team show up to play like winners. For the "Big House" season opener, that team wasn't Michigan. muggs
APPALACHIAN STATE RULES:) countdown to muggs piling on in 3...2...1...LIFT OFF... What a joke of a program that is up north there. Good thing that little midget Hart, and that stiff Henne came back for their senior years to beat the Buckeyes eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I mean lose to freaking Appalachian State. I only add "L's" to Lloyd Carr's name for all the times my Buckeyes have rolled over that bum, but today, ole' muggsy's gonna make an exception. So until OSU rolls over them in November, it's gonna be LLLLLLyod. Ann Arbor, please don't fire him, he's my favorite. on a side note- Bolwing Green took out Minnesota too. Not sure what to think about the Big Ten right now. After Florida cut down the mighty Troy Smith (even though that lay off was way tooooo loooooooong) it's looking like the conference is a little down right now. They keep it up, pretty soon they'll be like the Big 12.

wildside
One word: Muaaahahahahahahaaaaaaa Is that really just one word? Hey, if Lllllloyd left town tomorrow, I do believe there are several locals more than ready to help him pack. And that's not just because of Saturday's game but his overall bowl record and record against the big teams (Oh how I hate, Ohio State - it's like a chant - go on, you can do it!) Truthfully, there is not one team that I "hate". I love the game and have my favorite teams, and as long as both teams show up to play ball, have at it! SuperMn106
The defense sucks lol, but lets give Appalachian State some credit. Even though they are a D-1 AA school, they have won back to back National Titles so they really cant be all that bad. Should Michigan have won? You betcha. I think it just goes to show that there is not a really big difference between the best Division 1-AA school and a Good Division 1-A school. Michigan just needs to concentrate on the Conference Title now. If they play like they did, I can see 3 more losses coming. On a good note, Mike Hart looked real good. He should be in the Heisman running.
craig mack
I will be sooooo happy with this loss if UofM does the right thing and just fires Carr already. Lloyd is a joke!!!! This embarrasment will be worth it if they get rid of him. Ohio fans can laugh it up because their whipping boy should be gone soon.
Nick
Ahh...yes....The over rated wolverines lose to a division 1-AA school to start off the year. Keep up the good work guys! I was canoeing down the river when they said the final score on the radio. I had to do everything I could to keep from tipping the canoe over I was laughing so hard. bowana
appalatia.....who? I know that they have been national champs in thier division 2 years running, but.......com'on. I want Loyd in a noose!!!The powers to be have left him around way...to...long. Michigan could get anyone they want...Like ND got Weiss. I'm sure many great head coaches would come coach in the big house....hey how about the Appilation State head coach? Heck....I can't even spell it. I'm a die hard true blue Michigan fan.....but I can't stand the embarrasement.

Well, I'm sure just adding a brain is no big deal so he'll be fine. Guys add brains all the time, it's sorta like changing socks or something.
