opening day to the 07 season started a little rough. me and my huntin buddy sask brute woke up well before the sun anxious to get to the stand. we were ready and hedin for the bush at about 4 when a massive lighting storm hit so we decided to head home and wait it out and go after them in the after noon. the day seemed to last forever but finally it was time to head out to the stands. once we were in position it took about an hour before the first deer started moving. saskbrute had a nice your choclate buck that would go about 130 ish come right under his stand. it was shapin up to be a very success full after noon exspecialy when a big heavy 4x4 came into veiw and headed straight for saskbrute. but suddenly out in the distance came the rumble of a deere.... a jon deere haha the land owner was hauling some dirt and he couldnt have picked a worse time haha the buck was at about 75 yards when he bolted. the evening slowed down after that for about hour and a half but then the bush erupted with deer. i passed on 2 nice bucks that would have gone maybe 140 becasue i knew there were bigger deer in the area. in total we probably seen 60 deer that night. but just nothin worth stickin just yet.

Could only dream of living in a place where passing on 130 and 140 class deer would be a consideration. You guys in Saskatchewan and similar places where the big bucks roam are very fortunate.
