nemodeerhuntersneighbor
I have never seen a buck without velvet in august before. This was taken on the 8-28 and it looks like he has been without velvet for at least a couple of days. Early for these parts. How old is this deer? Looks like a 3yr old to me. What do you think? toddyboman
That is early to be without any velvet! I would agree he is 3 yrs old.
wtnhunt
Yep, looks like a 3.5 year old to me too. Dont think I have seen any bucks around here fully shed of their velvet that early.

MCH
We've got pics of several bucks this year that were velvetless in August. This is really our first year getting cam pics of the area, though.
rhine16
Way too early to be out of velvet i would think. At first glance i thought he was probably 2.5. I dunno. More than like 3.5 though.
Brad6639
Id say your looking at a 130 class 3.5 year old. I cant see the width real well, but Im guessing its 17 or 18. Let me know how close I was when you get him!
nemodeerhuntersneighbor
Hey Brad6639, you might have to wait a year because I would like to give him another year. He might be a bruiser next year (if he survives).
hoytman26
He is a 10 so I would guess easy low 130's . Nice buck!!!!!!! I'm headed out tomorrow to check my pics.
