Guest ronin
I thought this was a pretty good article: http://www.shootingtimes.com/ammunition/st_0201_winchester/
TCFORLIFE
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to try a couple different loads. There's not to many factory loads available.
Guest ronin
try this link, too. I really like the Federal loads with Barnes TSX. Almost as good as my handloads. http://www.federalpremium.com/ballistics/Ammo_Search.aspx
Guest ronin
Check this one too. The new Winchester XP3 seems to be simlar to the Barnes MRX but uses a steel core and moly coating. Frankly, I prefer the moly coated bullets. If the xp3 turns out to hold together a high velocity after impact, I may switch. http://www.winchester.com/products/catalog/cfrdetail.aspx?symbol=SXP7WSM&bn=16&type=
TCFORLIFE
I picked up some of the winchester xp3's this weekend. I'll try them out soon. Hopefully my browning will like them.
TCFORLIFE
Finally got some range time in. I tried the winchester 140 gr. SupremeĀ® Ballistic Silvertips and got 1/8 to 1/4 inch three shot groups at a 100 yards. I let the barrel cool after every three shots. I'll stretch them out a little further next time and let you know how they do.
