Guest Andrea
Well, the day has finally come. I wondered how long it would take. I guess it was inevitable given my ripe old age of 34. I haven't been overexerting myself or doing crazy stunts but my knee has started hurting pretty badly. I have no idea why. Just sore like it was twisted somehow. When I mentioned it to my "loving, caring" husband he quickly stated that it was time he traded me in on a 20 year old. I'm falling apart. One foot in the grave folks. I'm washed up, no good. Wonder if the "new girl" will fish and hunt as much as me? I highly doubt it.

mike
don't feel bad andrea i am 33 and have had both knees operated on already:D but the doc said when i have to come back he will need to do a replacement. he gave me 5-7 yrs and that was 8 yrs ago. its getting close i can feel it. my geuss would be you probably have a meniscus tear. thats seems to be the most common cause of knee pain with no injury. an orthiscopic surgery and in a few days your up and around and back to normal in a couple weeks:D:D life goes on and you'll still always be a year older than me:p:D
AdvantageTimberLou
WOW !! You are 34 ....:eek::eek: Man you are OLD .. :D;) Hey Luke I just turned 34 in July, maybe I'll have to keep that Reaper broadhead now! LOL! I married a younger gal, she's 30 so she keeps me in line and I have 4 years over her so I let her know it! Hope your knee gets better, as we get older our bodies just don't do what we want them too!!
MCH
When I mentioned it to my "loving, caring" husband he quickly stated that it was time he traded me in on a 20 year old. Don't worry Andrea. As soon as he sees how high maintenance those young uns can be, he'll change his mind. Plus, not to mention when he finds out how far under retail his trade-in actually is.... preacherman
I used to think 34 was old................but not anymore! I am 32 and will turn 33 in just a few months. Already had surgery to repair a broken leg and torn knee cartlidge. Now, after 8 inches of plate and 13 screws later; I am seemingly better! Just laughed tonight, when one of my church members said, "Since your surgery, you seem to wobble when you walk!"

buckee
I'm falling apart. One foot in the grave folks. I'm washed up, no good. Wonder if the "new girl" will fish and hunt as much as me? Yep, you're all washed up, but I think your hubby better hang on to you anyway. I think he'd be pretty hard pressed to find a suitable replacement. JMHO;)

Buckslayer
Gee thx for lettin' me know what I'm in for in 10 years guys -- and gal. I like your comment MCH... how much under retail DO you fall Andrea? I guess the body isn't one of those things that gets better with age. Its how you use it that gets better, or so I've heard... Maybe you could use that point to fend off his thoughts of the 20 y/o?

TxStarr
Ha. ha. Two problems with that scenerio, as I keep explaining to my husband. 1. What makes you think 2 - 20s would have you? 2. You don't know what to do with me, you would be clueless if there were two!! 34...wow He should wait til you're 40 and trade in for 2 - 20s

Cause he would not be able to keep up with HER and she wouldn't hang around long anyway. LMBO!!!! FYI......I don't feel 34 going on 70. I feel fine. Knee is okay this morning. Don't know what that was all about. But by golly.....I know where I stand now. LOL One aching joint away from splitsville!!!

wildside
One foot in the grave folks. Would this bum knee happen to be part of the same leg that had the nasty cut? (Remember, the one that left the cool scar in time for Halloween?) If so, I wouldn't be too concerned about the "one foot in the grave" thing, I'd be thinking more about having one entire leg "in the grave". By golly. That cut is all healed up and left a nice purple line.
