BearClaw
Just thought I'd pass something along that might help. I shoot a 3D Delta Backyard Buck Legend target in my backyard. So I don't have to put stakes in the ground everytime I shoot, I have hammered into the ground 1/2" PVC pipe cut to about 7-8" and it is level with the ground. (Can't be seen until you are above it). When it is time to shoot, I place some steel rods I got at Lowe's and place them in the PVC pipe. (Cut to about 12-14"). I then place the target's feet (holes) over the steel rods and it's good to go. When I'm done, I just reverse it and put it all away and everything looks normal! I have three different setups depending on the yardage and it's simple to move the target.
wtnhunt
Sounds like a pretty good idea. Built a stand for my target out of plywood and 2X4's, kind of an H shape. Just drilled holes for the metal that comes out of the feet to set in through the 2X4 in the center. Works pretty well.
