yep i pulled a real bonehead play monday morning when i went squirrell hunting. i got my truck stuck. it was in a bad rut and i couldnt get it out. whatever about only having 2 wheel drive..:p

so i had to walk to the closest farmers house ( about a mile) and ask for his help. he said no problem and he drove me back to my truck..heres where it gets interseting.;)

he said you know you look familiar?

i said yea you pulled me out about 4 years ago from the same place.:o

thats when he laid the good line on me. he said , " Are you just slow or what" ? i admitted to being a Moron and he said well lets not go that far.:D

we both had a good laugh and he pulled me right out. i then greased his palm with 40 bucks and wouldnt take no for no giving him something for his trouble. as he pulled away he said if this becomes a regular habit with me he might quit farming and take up a towing buisness instead.. :D

i must be a moron for sure.:D

Tony trust me we do the same thing at our one hunting spot. The one spot when it snows the hill is so steep with no traction that the drive down is easy, but the drive out is near impossible for even the best of trucks. We got stuck down there a couple times. One time it took us 8 hours of hard labor with a come-along to get out of the spot. Yet, every year we're right back down there again praying the drive up will be successful the first try, or within the first five I should say. All just for the sake of hunting. :D It's worth it though because we always know nobody else is going to come down and disturb us because they all too afraid of getting stuck. ;) Guess you could call us moron's too or very dedicated hunters willing to sacrifice our vehicles for the hunt. LOL

Now there's a quick thinking Moron :D

Thang ya...fellow moron.

BTW...if it makes you feel any better Tony I also had a moronic moment this past weekend. I'll make it quick. :rolleyes::D

I was checking ATV roads with OJ (my 1993 white Bronco) while my buddy gave me some relief bushhogging. Backing out of a trail OJ died. After that it would turn over with the starter but wouldn't crank up. After checking underneath for loose wires and checking fuses (useless without my reading glasses) I made the 3/4 walk to my buddy on the tractor.

He makes a phone call on his cell phone and more help arrives. We tow it the 4 miles out of the woods and back to the camp and go back to bushhogging and clearing roads.

Tuesday we call a wrecker to pick up OJ and he gets towed 50 miles back to town to get worked on.

Now the kicker...the problem was a blown fuse. :rolleyes: That was all it was. Where were my reading glasses? Oh back at camp where we towed it so it would be easy for the wrecker to pick it up. Never thought of checking the fuses back there using something I could see with.

Hummm....what a moron eh? :rolleyes::D You have company. ;)
