I live in NY so I think using Acorn Rage is not legal to use.

Baiting

It is illegal to hunt with the aid of bait, or over any baited area when hunting big game, upland game birds, turkey or waterfowl.

Q: What types of attractants are legal for deer hunting?

A: You may use cover scents and lures, such as doe urine, for deer hunting. However, it is illegal to place a salt block or mineral lick on lands inhabited by deer at any time of year. It is also illegal to feed deer. Some attractants that are marketed for deer are liquids or dissolving powders which deer may not directly consume, but the attractants may entice deer to feed on the material which absorbed the attractant. These types of produces would not be legal.

Personally, I've never been big on products that claim that deer love to eat it. Deer are basically high-powered goats, and you dont have to be very imaginative to find something they go crazy over. Take a bag of corn, dump it out, and they eat it up. Pour syrup over it and they eat it up, etc, etc.

I stick with the products that have the mineral content that stays in the ground and is healthy for the deer. Besides, I dont think acorn rage is legal here to hunt over.

Look at their site, and see if you can find the nutritional content of that product, I couldnt. For that kind of money, I'd like to know what i'm getting.

1. Agricultural crops including wildlife food plots.

2. Distribution of food to livestock.

3. Distribution of food to captive deer.

4. Cutting of trees and brush.

5. Scientific research, wildlife damage abatement, and wildlife population

theres always a catch 22, reading what would be feeding, i see nothing in there that says one couldnt collect acorns, in a trash can and then put them back, when one see's fit, being it a natural food for deer, and not an agricultural crop. maybe i missed some thing in the print.

Yes it definitely works in N TX

I've been using the stuff for about 3 years and it is one of the only deer attractants that I actually believe works, but with that said hogs love it more than deer do and if you have wild hogs in the area I don't recommend the stuff at all. They will come from miles to mess up your area over acorn rage.

Wildgame Innovations has a new Acorn Rage product called the "Drop N Block". I have plenty of acorn trees on the property I hunt so I probably won't use any of these. The Acorn Rage powder attractant does good around these parts (SE TX) from what I have heard.

I just put a acorn rage mineral block and acorn rage juiced out Wednesday night then Sunday morning I went and they already ate all the juiced and dug into the ground and found the block. I used corn for 2 weeks to get them coming then the acorn rage brought in a perfect framed 6 pointer (ON FIRST APPLICATION!!!!) so I would say it works! Just make sure there are acorns in the area and when you put it out cover it up with dirt. Don't let the deer be able to see it at first because it will spook your bucks. By covering it you force the deer to find it with their nose just like they find at their other food so its normal to them. Just bury the block about 5 inches under ground then pour a gallon if water on soil above block so it soaks in then apply juiced to anything and watch the deer come in.
