Sask-Hunter
Im looking into getting into muzzleloader hunting this fall and i was wondering what a nice good reliable muzzleloader would be, im not looking to spend a load of cash Thanx
TCFORLIFE
Not sure how much your looking to spend but I have never had any problems with my omega. I have had several different ml's and the omega has been the best hands down.
wtnhunt
Thompson Center has several good ml'ers out there. Not the latest and greatest, but the black diamond I hunt with gets the job done and is a lot of fun to shoot.
johnf
My dad has one of these http://hr1871.com/Firearms/Muzzleloaders/sidekick.aspx that he got last year. It's very easy to clean, reliable, and he can group around 2" at 130 yards. I think you can get these for about $160 special ordered from Walmart. bigmoss
TC Omega or Encore, your season out there is long enough with long shots to justify a little extra $$

Brad6639
I have a Optima(magnum, not pro), and have shot a lot of deer with it, including a 160 class 10 pointer at 226 yards that fell in his tracks. I have a 3x9x40 scope on it, the gun, a sling, and the mounts and accessories (and I have a ton of them), and I have around 300 in my entire outfit and have shot two very respectable deer with this setup and lots of antlerless deer as well. Thats the gun I recommend, very similar to the encore with a price tag thats less than half.
Hoyt03
Thompson center Omeag no doubt. Awesome shooter straight out the box
Guest kaleb
Cabelas has ss Omegas for 400 dollars. They are top notch guns. I almost ordered one but went with the ss Encore for 660 out the door. I'm shure the Encore muzzleloader is no better than the Omega. If you get the Encore when they come out with something a LOT better you can still get use out of your gun by shooting rifle barrels on it. That was my thinking anyway. You probably can't go wrong, I'd say all the co.'s have learned to make a good gun by now.
MichiganHunter
Hey i'm new to Muzzleloader hunting too and i put in alot or lookin and settled on an T.C. Encore (mine is the pro hunter) but the traditional Encore is just as nice, it cleans really easy just like all T.C.'s or so i've been told. The nice thing i like with the Encore is that when you go to buy another gun you can just buy a new barrel for the encore and your set. I'm in college and that is why i decided to buy my encore....GIVEN I have not hunted with it yet but i have been puttin some shots down range and my pattern at 100 yards the holes are less than 1.5inches apart..... GOOD LUCK AND BUY WHAT YOU WANT/CAN AFFORD
