BearClaw
Back on 8/25/07 I posted about my job situation. I am still in need of your prayers and I appreciate those who did pray. I had a second interview yesterday for a position of director for a small health care facility. It sounds like a tremendous opportunity and I think I would really enjoy going to work. I really just want to be able to make a difference in people's lives somehow. This may not be spiritual but I'm wired to help people. They said they would let me know next week. Obviously if this is not God's will then I don't want it but if it is please pray that I will know it and that I will hear God's voice to confirm it. Thanks! BearClaw
Haven't heard yet about the job. Last week one of my references called me and said they had called him and he gave them a good reference for me. I was supposed to hear from them last week so I don't know. It's in God's hands and His timing if it is supposed to be. Waiting is hard. Pleae continue to pray!
BearClaw
Heard yesterday from another refernce that was being checked on. Unemployment runs out in a week. I need you guys (and ladies) to pray for me that God's will will be in whatever happens here. I told someone once that "The Red Sea didn't open until it needed to!" Good advice except when you need it opened! I'm starting to hear the sound of the Egyptians! Please pray!!
Guest PTtaxidermy
Where is your faith? Seriously, God said to not worry about tomorrow..I know what it is like to go without employment, and I am partially disabled on top of that. It's been over a year since unemployment has run out. I had to learn to relax and not worry. And you know, everything is fine. We cut everything out we didn't need. I picked up a part time job this last month that is better then nothing, my Mrs. holds two part time jobs, 7 days a week. We have this false hope that God will miraculously give me a good job with benefits and a 401-k with paid vacations, but he didn't promise that to anyone, he only said he would guide us from day to day, and you reap what you sew. And on top of that, my State is 49th in jobs available to work. Unemployment is high. I filled out apps on line and where ever I thought would be promising, and didn't look back, just kept sewing seeds and trusting that one would grow, and one did. Now if I sat at home and just prayed without working my faith, I'd have no seeds sewn. My brother is in the health care management field. He is unemployed as well. That position is a unstable one, and the first to get chopped when the health care companies tighten their belts. He knows that those jobs are short term, but pay very well. If you would like to talk to him, let me know, he can give you the heads up in that position. If you have worked it before, then forgive me for telling you something you already know. Remember Job and what he went through before things turned around for him. Most of all, relax, your in the best nation to be unemployed in. BearClaw
I appreciate your insight and encouragement. I know God is in control and He is not unaware of what is going on. I am 53 and have been working since I was probably 6 or 7 selling potholders and Christmas cards door-to-door. We have some major monthly bills that need a good paycheck and I have been looking and applying and have had some interviews. I want God to get the glory and have a testimony of His faithfulness. I know He can create something (job) out of nothing and eye has not seen, ear has not heard all that God has created for those who love Him. Sometimes, as you probably are quite aware, the flesh gets a little concerned and frustrated. But yes, faith in Him is the ultimate key. I'll keep you posted. BearClaw
Great News!!! The health care facility that I had the interview with offered me the position today and I gratefully accepted! I start October 8th and I'm really excited! God has shown Himself faithful once again! Thank you all for your prayers, it meant a lot that those from the hunting/outdoor community were praying for me. It was sincerely appreciated! May God receive all the praise and glory!
