camoman1 Posted September 10, 2007 Report Share Posted September 10, 2007 i live in southern WI but hunt a little west of Green Bay. Saw a few flocks that were definately migrating. Saw those in central state. as far as i can tell its all locals in the southern part. I work outside and i aint seen much for migrators down in milwaukee area. Almost had a few locals this weekend.....didnt quite work out tho....wind was wrong on the river and the darn horses kept em from decoyin in the fields!!! The flocks I did see were way up and not stopping anytime soon...early am is when I saw em, both Sat and Sun. they were catching a north tailwind from a front...free ride south!! (a little over an hour north of Milwaukee) We are just now getting a few birds. I saw a few flocks today. I also saw a few nice flocks of Mallards today. I especially noticed it in the morning when Dove hunting. I had 6 come over sunday morning, I wish I'd of had my permit then instead of waiting. It was luck that they were there at that time lol.
