RangerClay
I was thinking about purchasing this package this weekend. I have never tried Redhead optics before. Do you have any thoughts about these items? CLICK ON THE LINK THEN SCROLL TO THE BACK PAGE. Look for the scope combo. Thanks! http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPage?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&appID=163&option=3&template=circular.cfm&catalog=fhc2007tab&rfx_versioningid=022&storeID=
wtnhunt
Joe, might be worth giving bass pro a call or sending them a message asking who makes that particular scope for them. Then you might be able to match it up to that manufacturers products and get a better idea on the performance you might expect out of it. I know cabelas has some big name manufacturers put their name on products for them and surely bass pro does the same. Seems a couple years ago AJ or someone had posted some information on who made some of these scopes, but I honestly dont remember off the top of my head who it was, and it is probable that has since changed anyways. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
My dad and I went to Bass Pro a couple weeks ago and seen this there. They had them set out so you could look though the spotting scope and rifle scope. We both thought they were pretty nice, very clear. I am tempted to go back and get it. The spotting scope was nice, for what we would use it for (mostly at the shooting range) it would be perfect. And i wanted to try the scope our on my muzzleloader also. M00N
I won one of the Redhead rifle scopes awhile back from a Bass Pro contest. I haven't mounted it on a rifle yet and shot it, so I cannot comment on how it handles recoil and holds it's zero, but looked through it after getting it and examined it. Seemed pretty nice to me. Very clear and sturdy feeling. I wouldn't hesitate to put it on one of my guns. I just don't have a gun in my collection that doesn't already have a scope on it to mount the one I won on. mule659
I work for Bass Pro and am told by one of our hunting managers that Bushnell makes a lot of the optics for Bass Pro. Another guy there put one of the rifle scopes on his .300 win mag and said it held it's zero and stood up to the recoil good.
