muggs
nothing confirmed yet, but the local news radio station, WTAM (the Browns flagship) is reporting that Chuck "I take bad sacks" Frye has been delt. Again, not sure for what, or to who, but I'm guessing we got a few used mouth guards out of the deal. If I had to guess, maybe the Giants are bringing him in as a stop gap for Eli's injury?? I'd also not be surprised if this doesn't go through and they cut him. The Browns Disorganization already brought back Ken Dorsey, who they cut two weeks ago so we'll see... Hope it's true. I also hope they accept a resignation from Crennel and bring in Marty Schottenheimer.
MCH
Could be Atlanta as well. Eli's out for one month, so the Giants may bring in some insurance but I figured they would've had a serviceable back-up but from the looks of it, they don't. Both teams have a recent history of trading with the Browns, too.
buckbuster11
It's still just a rumor, but if they brought Dorsey back then he must be on his way out. How pathetic is this organization. You make the guy a starter, bench him before the end of the first half in the first game, and he's off the team before week 2. Wow. You had 8 months to pick your starting QB and this is what happens?
MCH
Well, not every team can find someone as durable and competent as Ben Rothlisberger. :D

Master_Chief
Although it can be funny this has to be one of the worst run sports organizations I have seen in a long time. It pains me to see some of the things happening right now. Will still root for them every weekend but wow......
c_lou
Well that about covers it. Can we trade coaches? Rumor Mill is swirling: Romeo Crennel and a basket of those sweet vinegar fries from Cedar Pointe for Art Shell and a free stay at some bed and breakfast in Oregon. Sounds like a good swap to me. Always have been and always will be a Browns fan. I will pick the Browns over the Steelers every game. Might not win 'em but I will not pick the Steelers over the Browns. muggs
This is a joke. I have to question the leadership of this team, starting from the top with owner, Randy Lerner. The real question, in all seriousness is how they proceed forward from here. They brought back Ken Dorsey, which isn't going to blow any doors off, but it's a good move. We have a new OC in Chudzinsky, he was Dorsey's OC at Miami U for all 4 years so Dorsey knows this offense very well. I have to think he was brought in solely to mentor Quinn and lower BQ's learning curve... which is a very smart move. Next step, we need an established veteran QB to add to the roster. Since our management, in their limitless knowledge, passed on guys like Culpepper, Green, and Carr this off season...that leaves Byron Leftwich. Not that I'm crazy about him, but he's better and more viable than anything we have in place here right now. If I'm Savage, I sign Leftwich to a 1-year deal, carry 4 QB's for a while, let Dorsey mentor and teach the offense to both Quinn and Leftwich...then cut Anderson once they understand the game plan. That's what I'd do...and again, I should be the GM of this crummy team, can't ruin it anymore than the current millionaires are doing. buckbuster11
Good thing you posted that twice. Dorsey is the next Peyton Manning IMO....you agree?
muggs
Good thing you posted that twice. Dorsey is the next Peyton Manning IMO....you agree? sorry, about the double post, it was so insightful, I got excited. Hopefullly, Dorsey never sees the field, but I think the guy's got a good mind for the game, he just doesn't have the physical ability. But he's good friends with Quinn, and knows the offense...he'll help in that regard. The sooner they can prepare Quinn to be the starter, the better...you agree? buckbuster11
I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts after seeing your o-line in action. But they don't have any other choice. He's got to play, I'd start him this week.......and then just pray he doesn't get killed.
Steven
Well that about covers it. Can we trade coaches? It'll be hard to get rid of Romeo because he's... well... umm... just look at him and imagine what will happen unless he's replaced by someone who looks similar to him. buckbuster11
I've got it!! Michigan is in a tailspin, Carr is going to get fired.....maybe before the season ends. Crennel is on his way out the day after the season ends. Coincidence I think not!! Ladies and gentlemen, the new coach of the 2008 Cleveland Browns....Lloyd Carr. I'd rather have John Cooper. btw- i think Steven's on to something. that too is also the only reason Tomlin got handed the golden goose in Pittspuke.
