I was just wondering how often you scent free wash your hunting clothes for how many times you hunt in them? Do you wash them every time, or maybe every other time and spray yourself with scent block?

Same here. It depends how much I sweat. Inner layers get washed pretty often, most of the time after every hunt. Outer ones depends. My fall coat which is a little lighter and subject to seat gets done as necessary. My winter outers at the end of the season. You're right, doesn't hurt to be too careful. You spend all that time practicing, planning, setting up, etc. why take a short cut and blow it when it just takes a little time to be sure.

Pretty much the same here. I've got quite a few shirts, so I pretty much have a clean one every time I go out. I wear bibbers most of the time and will wash them if I've gotten hot. My jackets and insulated stuff usually get it at the end of the season then sprayed down with fresh earth and put away. This year I'll do the scent away without the fresh earth b/c I've got scent lok now and don't want to contaminate. When it's hot and I'm not wearing the cabon, I'll bathe in fresh earth scent. And carry a small bottle with me to "Freshin up". :D

Dont buy junk

If you dont buy junk you can save yourself some time with your gear. By junk I mean scent control sprays that really don't do much to help you (you local walmart is full of them).

(Not bashing any moderator, just my view)

100 days a year of hunting, I have alot of gear. If you buy a quality spray doesn't cost any more than junk stuff, you can go a while without having to wash it, as long as you aren't out jogging in the stuff. I use scent control sprays and detergents that (A) bond with odor molecules rendering them odorless, and keep doing it after drying, and (B) contain activated carbon to leave behind to clean up the dirty work.

The one's I use are Xtreme scents, and Scent Gorilla. If you spray down with one of these scents on the outside AND INSIDE of your gear, you can get a few days hunting out of each, and stretch it by spraying again if you have to, if your on a wilderness hunt or something. Scent Gorilla's a great small company with some killer stuff that works. I know they have some stuff on eBay, I can get it locally, but I think only in the South.

I use alot of carbon gear, and good spray helps keep it absorbing.

Depends

I used to wash my clothes with regular detergent (every three days) then keep my clothes (not carbon lined) hung outside under cover to air out, then pack them in a storage bag with boiled pine needle spray (everyday). Then I got soap made from goat milk made by a local women that was anise scented. So I stored my clothes everyday in a bag with that. I also used scent killer or scent-a-way spray. Now for this season I've finally gotten scent blocker camo, carbon wash detergent, HS wafers, and other stuff. I have to develop a routine and then I guess I'll see how things go.
