RangerClay
GRAPE JUICE!!!!! From left to right I have, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Petit Sirah. Two whites in the buckets and two reds in the carboys. All toll there is 24 gallons of grape juice and it will make me 120 bottles of wine. Now all I have to do it wait In words of Robert Mondavi in his autobiography, "Harvests of Joy" "Wine to me is passion. It's family and friends. It's warmth of heart and generosity of spirit. Wine is art. It's culture. It's the essence of civilization and the art of living."

wildside
That is really cool! How did you learn the art of winemaking? Do you grow your own grapes? 120 bottles is quite a few! What do you do with it all?

What do you do with it all? I was introduced to it from a friend. I don't grow my own grapes because my land is all wooded for hunting. What do I do with it all.... drink it and share with friends. Most of the Chennin Blanc will be Christmas presents.

RangerClay
Now wait just a dad-burn minute.............how come I wasn't sent a "sample" in the RT food exchange?????????? Three reasons. One you said you didn't drink. Two, you said you don't like wine. Three, somebody had to mention the no home made stuff rule. Sorry I've been itching to send you a bottle. Between Andrea and I we made two posts in the Lounge and kept bumping them for days. Don't know how you missed it. It was so much fun. Do a search in the Chuckwagon under my name to see what everyone got. I hope to do it again in March if I don't get banned for the Mossy Oak post.
