Tominator
Re: Ohio/PA Rodeo You're from Michigan, so I'll type this slow. It's easy. Route 23 south until you hit the promised land, God's country--Ohio. OK, I'll stop. Maybe Nut can give us the exact exit to Sidecut Park, but essentially, route 23 turns into route 475 that rings Toledo. Just keep following the 23 South signs. If you go over a bridge with a really big river under it, look left, you'll see about 200 "fishermen" elbow to elbow having "fun," you're there, turn around and take the first exit opposite the Perrysburg side. Hmmmm, what to bring. Well, if you're going to fish, a 6 to 7' medium action rod and reel, spooled with at least 8lb test, and tons of 1/2 oz to 1 oz lead head jigs and light colored twister tails. You'll need chest waders too. All kidding aside, I won't be drinking, but I have offered to do the grilling around lunchtime if we all want to meet at the park picnic grounds for lunch. Hope we have a big bunch. Here's a link to the metroparks site. there might be a link to maps in there somewhere. MSN isn't allowing me to see pictures, again! I have a student that's heading up this weekend, so I guess the run has started. http://www.metroparkstoledo.com/metroparks/

muggs
Re: Ohio/PA Rodeo a quick internet search came up with Maumee Bay State Park, which offers camping. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/parks/maumeebay.htm We'll have to buy the firewood there, they have a ban on peole bringing there own due to pest control. I'll give the office a call and find some pricing info Anyone familiar with this park, or any other camp grounds near by?
muggs
Re: Ohio/PA Rodeo here's another near by camp site, it's small and only offers 35 camp sites, but should be closer to the river.

muggs
Re: Ohio/PA Rodeo Aaron, I was thinking the same thing, we can reschedule the trip to May 4th, call it the Ohio/Michigan MAY DAY! And really show them what an education from Kent gives you, proper arsen techniques. What car fire are you talking about? LOL I've seen a few there. Anyone who plans on camping, let me know and I'll figure how many sites will need, prices, etc... So far: Aaron (Carbonhunter) is down for 4 people and there's 3 in my group

Tominator
Re: Ohio/PA Rodeo Maumee State Park is quite a ways away from the fishing spots. You almost have to go through Toledo to get to Sidecut park. You might want to check into the other camping spot. [ QUOTE ] And really show them what an education from Kent gives you, proper arsen techniques. [/ QUOTE ] But apparently not a lesson in how to spell arson. Sorry Eric, couldn't resist. If it is full I am trying to find a close back up place. If I cant find a spot I can always just put it up here at home???
