kuntryboy
I could not afford to do that , But I bet you did not get both in one shot, for your first turkey!!! They are both beautyful mounts!

kuntryboy
it would have cost me 300 each to get them mounted . I only payed 200 on the wall. If i ever kill another one (bad luck last year) i'll bite the bullet and get a full mount!
RTF
You paid $200.00 for that mount ! ? Did I hear you right ?
Bachflock
Very nice. I've already determined if I ever shoot one with an 11" or bigger beard I'll have it mounted... now, finding the room to put it! LOL
kuntryboy
Yea ! I only have one taxidermist within 75 miles of where i live ! he does a great gob but he has a couple of high price clients so he set his prices kind of high! RTF
Sorry bud, but you were overcharged for that mount. Is that how it was returned to you, the way it looks in the pic ?
timberlandtaxi
200.00 is robbery for that. I thought maybe you had done that yourself. As for the lifesize prices: 300.00 each??? I'd find a different turkey taxidermist. I've yet to see a quality turkey done for 300.00. I charge 595.00 and I'm neither the most expensive, nor the best. Your guy has some whacked out prices. kuntryboy
It has been through two moves ! it looked a lot better when i got it . What can I use to brush it to get it back in shape and get the dust off of it ? It was my first turkeys and I was exited and just wanted to show them off ,I did not do anny shoping arround . I've seen several deer this guy has done and they look great ! I'll be more care full next time!! Are turkeys harder to mount than deer 595$ seams like a hole lot of money?? a good white tail deer is only 300 to 350 !!

Use your finger tips to pull and tweak the feathers on the end.A damp cloth will remove the dust . Yes turkeys are much harder and more time consuming to do then deer. As far as I am concerned Hazel Creek Taxidermy does the best turkey work for the best price.
timberlandtaxi
I charge 450.00 for deer. Yes, turkeys are harder. Hazel Creek does do a nice job, but last I heard Cally was over 750.00. I could be wrong, but I belive that's close.
