muggs
Over the course of the next 5 days, I'll be attending 2 Tribe games and one Browns game...all for free. I had some free ticket coupons so, back in July, I bought two tickets for tonights game and Tuesdays game against the Tigers. Luckily enough the Tigers and Tribe's season panned out like I hoped they would so that series should be a lot of fun. Big CC's on the mound tonight which should be good, even though he has trouble with the Royals for some reason. As for the Browns game...the tailgating should be fun and the tickets were free from a buddy:D
buckbuster11
I knew Cleveland sports were bad, but for them to be giving away free tickets to get people to come? Must be desparate times up there.

Must be desparate times up there. I saw this coming from you before you even woke up this morning John. Anyway don't be jealous. Football= Edge Pittspuke. Browns win 4 games this year, Stoolers will win 8...big deal. Basketball= Huge edge CTown. LeBron vs. ummm...oh yeah, you don't have a team. Baseball= Even bigger edge for CTown over the basketball matchup...even though you have a team, does it really matter? Hockey= Edge Pittspuke. But John, I think you and I are the only two yahoos living south of the Canadian border that care about the sport anymore...not even consider a major sport anymore either. Overall edge...CTWON BABY. buckbuster11
Edge C-Town? I see your little rundown there as a 2-2 tie. Try adding that up again. Not to mention, we dont need to give away free tickets down here....not even for Pirates games believe it or not.
toddyboman
we dont need to give away free tickets down here....not even for Pirates games believe it or not. Maybe the Pirates should think about that.....They may make some money and be able to help their team out. Sounds like a fun weekend Muggs. The baseball games will be fun.....As for the Browns game.....Good luck.
buckbuster11
The Pirates have no need to give away tickets. The morons that live around here still pack that place night after night. If people would stop showing up then maybe management would be forced to actually try and field a competitive team.
muggs
The Tribe tickets were a promotional coupon deal, 2 1/2 ticket coupons, 2 free ticket coupons. The reason you don't see the Bucos doing this is because it wouldn't generate any interest...thus just waste the paper they print it on. Browns tix are my buds season tickets, he can't make it, and they're 4 rows off the field. C Town gets the edge, because we have a baseketball team, and you do not. Now, although you do have a hockey team. The NBA has a much larger interest across the nation than the NHL. LeBron vs. Sid the Kid...LeBron in a landslide. Plus, even though the Browns are a joke...the Bucos are a much bigger joke. Heck, the Browns made the playoff in 2002...how bout the Bucos? toddyboman
The morons that live around here still pack that place night after night. Did not realise they sold that many tickets. Seems everytime I see a highlight it appears lots of empty seats......
muggs
Did not realise they sold that many tickets. Seems everytime I see a highlight it appears lots of empty seats...... They have a new park, so that helps I'm sure.
buckbuster11
Most people view a Pirates game as.....I dont know how to put it....almost like a day to the amusement park or something. Entertainment. You get out of the house, go get some food in one of the best parks in the world, maybe get a free hand out at the gates, maybe get to see some fireworks, and that's about it. The actual baseball game is like an afterthought. I've never seen anything like it. Muggs, you and I both know that if you had a choice between Lebron and the Cavs, and Sid and the Pens....you'd take Sid and the Pens anyday of the week. Don't deny it. muggs
Yeah, I'd take Sid and the Pens for sure...but I'm probably 1 of 6 guys living in Cleveland who thinks that way.
buckbuster11
Your right unfortunately. I really can't figure out why that is. Obviously in Cleveland it's going to be that way because you have no hockey team, but what the heck is the rest of the country smoking? I just don't see how you can't like hockey....and would rather watch a bunch of overpaid crybabies who don't pay attention to any aspect of the game besides shooting, and whose league is being rigged by refs. toddyboman
Yup I would much rather watch Lebron. Basicly cause I have no interest in hockey. I don't understand the game, I have never played it or even been around it. I know a few basic players and teams only cause of ESPN.
muggs
Yeah toddy, but I'm sure there are other sports you haven't played that you've learned the rules for. Hockey isn't all that complicated once you get into it. btw- growing up, all the people I introduced to the sport always loved it.
toddyboman
I find it hard to enjoy something you can not participate in..... It's not like I can go somewhere to play... Other than you guys on here I do not know ANYONE that has ever played or knows much about hockey....
buckbuster11
I've never played hockey once in my life. I dont even think I have ever played street hockey. But, besides football hockey is far and away the best sport out there.
