silvertip_co
Independence Pass, Colorado. The DOW spent 6 weeks this spring trying to confirm three grizzlers that were sighted there. They didnt find the grizz ( I BET they went south to the super remote Grizzly Gulch). Now they are investigating wof sighting. And a good one: http://www.aspentimes.com/article/20070915/NEWS/70914048 Philosophically speaking ... if all this great and dangerous wildife is moving back into Colorado, does that mean the Kalifornicans are moving out and taking their money and p.poor driving skills with them??? Guest adrenaline_junky
thats cool, i'm sure that it was a wolf in my opinion anyhow. I know up in Montana Wyoming areas they have a handfull so its very possible they could have traveled down. Good Luck maybee youll get to see one yourself

Guest wyoming
The wolves are no more dangeress than a mountian lion (the potetial is there but they dont stick around if they know your there) to humans. The wildlife impacked could be real bad though. And the griz, well. You just need to be aware that they are there and take precautions. I've never had a bad run in with a grizz. They always seem to keep there distance. It's when that distance is cut short that you'll have a prob with a grizz. Come up on a slepping grizz or get to close to a cub and youv'e got your self a problem
Shaun_300
You don't have to worry too much about a wolf attacking. I've ran into them many times up here, they just turn around and run like heck. They're a lot more scared of you than you are of them. My uncle is a trapper and once he caught a wolf in a conavear (sp?) trap by the leg. That wolf was not a happy camper, my uncle walked up on it and the wolf ran from one length of the chain to the other straight at him. The chain ended almost snapping its neck about 4 feet from my uncle. Then he got a .22-250 bullet in the head, that ended that pretty quick.
