What a weekend (NFL)

A lot of the top teams from last year are looking not so hot. I am only seeing one really good team right now and that's New England.

Some interesting notes after 2 weeks.......

The Browns have a better record then the Saints, Giants, and Rams among others. And have the same record as Cincinnati, Baltimore, San Diego and Chicago.

The Browns have scored more points then anybody in the NFL except for Cincy, Pittsburgh, Dallas and New England.

No team in the NFL has given up fewer then 20 points in 2 games, except for Pittsburgh who has only given up 10.

Undeafeated teams include Houston, Detroit, San Francisco, and Green Bay.

The great Reggie Bush/Drew Brees show in New Orleans has been outscored 72-24 in 2 games.

Atlanta has scored 10 points in two games.

I like the 49er and Packers a lot. I even think the Lions have a good chance of making some noise, I just wonder how that D will hold up. The Saints need to give the ball to McAllister more if they want to win, Bush is to cutesy and thinks he can dance around everyone. I think the Seahawks are in trouble too.

As far as my Brownies go, I was at that game, and it was nothing sort of amazing. What a fun game to be at, I'm dubbing it the "Burning River Shootout" for my boy BB11's sake (after hearing that same rip from him twice a week for 4 years).;)

I've always though the Browns were a QB and RB away from being a contender, and DA showed what getting rid of the ball quickly can do. I'm still not sold on him 100%, but at least I hope he can keep the team competitive while Quinn gets ready. Heck, if he has a decent year, we might be able to shop him for some value at the end of the season.

I was really happy for a lot of Brownies, Jamal was able to show that he's not "lost a step" and in fact looked pretty fast as he turned the corner and ran away from the Bengals corner (think it was their rook from michigan), DA had a nice confidence boost, so did Braylon. But most of all, I was happy for Joe Jurevicious. 2 TD's in front of the Dawg Pound for the local guy. Great day.

Top completion percentage among QB's in the NFL right now. #1 isn't surprising but check out the rest of the top 7.

1. Tom Brady

2. Matt Schaub

3. Jon Kitna

4. Josh McGown

5. Jeff Garcia

6. Joey Harrington

7. Damon Huard

Quite the list of less than likely leaders. Football is a lot like hunting. You just can't predict what will happen for sure.
