johnf
Saw these guns on the H&R Websight wal-mart has them for $149. Has anyone ever seen one of these things. If so are they built as well as H&R's other guns? I've been thinking about getting a cheap knock around pump for squirel or coyotee hunting, but don't want to buy a (p o s). AJ
Re: H&R Pardner Pump They stand behind their products, so I would think that it would be a decent gun. Its not an 870, but you are not paying for an 870. I have not handled one, so I can not give a recommendation on the actual quality. I would definately check them out. Marlin made pump shotguns in the 70's or early 80's. I have seen a few of them still being used. It might be a decent beater gun or even better. johnf
Re: H&R Pardner Pump If you remember, I've got a Benelli Nova 12ga. but it has the advatige timber camo on it, and tends to get scratched rather easily. If I had known that, I probibly would have got the black one and saved $50. I just can's see taking it out where I might knock it around and scratch it up. But for duck or stand hunting, it's a pretty neat gun.
AJ
Re: H&R Pardner Pump Yeah, typically I don't care about the finish. You would have cringed at what I did with my Browning BPS Hunter (deep polished metal and nice walnut with high gloss finish). I spray painted it camo for hunting. My buddy was almost in tears watching me spray it.
