whitetailtrax
Spent three awsome days in the Sweet Grass Hills chasing antelope with the bow last weekend. Had a blast chasing those goofy things around and finally connected on a young buck as he came in to water with two other bucks. I learned a ton on this trip about their behavior during the rut and techniques that work and don't work for luring them in. Also learned that I need more practice shooting at various angles, as I missed a coyote and a very big antelope buck. Can't wait to get back up there next month so Tanner can chase them around with the rifle.
98chevy
Was this a outfitted hunt or public land? I really want to head out that way next year and chase them around
whitetailtrax
Was this a outfitted hunt or public land? I really want to head out that way next year and chase them around This hunt occurred on private land and was not guided - I'm very lucky to have a very good family friend that owns the land. You should definitely come out and try it. There is plenty of public and private land that you can access in both Montana and Wyoming. As for timing, right now is the time (mid-September) as the bucks are rutting hard!
