Huntr104
My Dad has a 1999 Suzuki King Quad 300. He just changed the choke cable and now the machine is running terrible. He had to take part of the carburetor apart to do the job and he put it all back together and now it is running rough, backfiring, and has a very fast idle. My question is this. I've searched the internet but cannot find anywhere online that I can view a schematic or exploded view of the carburetor. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks. 5994_MUZZYMAN
I know with honda and kawasaki and yamaha you get the parts blow ups on there web sights they should have it also. maybe throttle needle is hung up or not seating properly.or the chole cable maybe in the wrong position. just my 2-c
unioncountyslayer
Messing with the carb on an ATV is trouble from the beginning. If the needle is not placed in the right position, it throws everything off. Take it in to a pro
Guest adrenaline_junky
I agree ATV carbs are tough to mess with. But to me it sounds like the idle needle is not seated properly thats probably why its not runnin right. Sorry i couldn't help you more but i'm a dirt bike man. wtnhunt
Without knowing what he might have done in the carburetor, if it was running right before replacing the cable, think it is possible he might not have the cable adjusted quite right. The carb may be being partially choked when it is not supposed to be causing it to run poorly. Think I would start there before tearing into the carb. If that is not the problem, would look next at the idle adjustment.
