Guest Romero14
I need some help on deciding which climber treestand to get. I am willing to spend $150 and up. I checked out a couple of summits and also the api grand slam star extreme which I have heard is very comfortable and quiet. I'm open for suggestions. wtnhunt
Cannot go wrong with a summit in my opinion. Very comfortable, pretty quiet, and are not ridiculously priced.
Hoyt03
Go with the summit. They have plenty of climbing models to choose from and are one of the best. Almost everyone uses them. I would get the one that folds up flat for easy carry into the woods. Might want to give loggy bayou's a look as well if you don't want a summit. Should be able to afford any stand if your willing to spend 150 and UP! LOL Goodluck, and check out ebay
Guest MissouriHunter
I have had an API climber for about two years now and haven't had any problems with it. It's pretty light and quiet. I have heard a lot of good things about Summit though.
johnf
I love my summit Viper. I feel very secure in it. It's very comfortable, light, and stable.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Another vote for Summit here! I have a Summit Goliath, great stand, very comfortable.
RackBlaster
I highly recommend a Summit. I have a Broadhead Backpacker and it is everything you want in a climber. Not only is it a great product , their customer service is excellent too. I had lost the safety rope that attaches the seat and platform together so i called Summit to purchase a replacement and an extra for the future. Not only did they send me a free replacement , they sent 2 at no charge.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Not only is it a great product , their customer service is excellent too. Yup, great service, i forgot to add that. When i bought mine (the Goliath) it was supposed to come with the safety harness rated for the same as the stand, something like a 350lb rating for the harness, and it was bigger to fit big guys like me . Well almost a year after wearing the smaller one, and being uncomfortable in it, I was doing some research and took out the owners manual and read about which harness I was supposed to get, then went and looked at the one I had, thats when i realized i got the wrong one. I emailed them, they responded fast and asked for my address and a few days later I had a brand new harness, the right one. They didn't ask for the old one back, so I gave it to my cousin who was just getting into hunting and all he had was the kind that went around your waist. mule659
I have used several models from API for a long time and have no complaints whatsoever.
rhine16
I would go with a gorilla. Very comfortable and easy to use stands.
Brad6639
Id go for a summit, I have a viper extreme xls and I love it, its a tad bit heavy but the comfort is worth it when you get there! They have many models to choose from as well, so whatever design you want, they make.

Ohiobucks
Summit Razor here. I like that it is a stand up/sit down climber, but you can fold the front bar out of the way after you get to hunting height.
Guest grunt0331
I've had a Summit Viper for about 6 years. the only thing I've done to it was replace the cables. I've hunted out of a lot of different models, and I like the Summits the best.
matq2gs
I have had API, Timber Tall and Buckshot. I just got a Loggy Bou pro staff and love it. It folds flat and the cable system is great. It has the ADC seat. (all day comfort) It's like a bow it's what feels right for you.
revhard
API here.. have had two of them for a while now(1 for 4 years) and love them. simple and easy and comfy. IMO the summitt climbers are very lumbersome and are too big to cary into the woods on your back
Adjam5
If it will be primarily used for bow hunting, I'd say the Summit Broadhead Backpacker. It folds flat, not like the other Summits. It is light,19 lbs. Has a open front( I shoot my bow sitting from it= less movement). It is very quiet and sturdy. You can fall asleep in it and it is easy to assemble, like ALL Summits. For gun hunting, look at the Summit Viper. It has a shooting rail. Summit Summit Summit:D Good Luck with whatever you choose.
Guest Romero14
It will be used mainly for rifle hunting.
Guest DIRTY DUKE
I've had a Summit Viper for a couple of years now and it's been a good one. I bow hunt and gun hunt from it.
