I saw more than 20 deer this morning. Had a nice group of 5 small bucks, (buttons and 3 spikers)

I had a real nice doe bust me at 50 yrds, and she would have been right in my lap. :(

The wind was great, and I think it was my hunting hat. I was wearing a Max 4 hat, and I think it's just too dang light for around here.

My buddy Steve got a real nice doe this morning, but it should have been a double header, for us.

haha! thanks RC! :D Justin and I got out in the woods on Friday evening and Saturday morning and did a lil squirrel hunting. His first time squirrel hunting ever and me as the guide! We got skunked on Friday evening (overcast and windy) and on Saturday morning Justin shot 3 grey squirrels and lost one. Justin was tickled pink! We saw plenty of deer! On Friday night there were 15 deer in the field, but it was too dark to see if there were any horns in the bunch. On Saturday morning we almost got ran over by 7 or 8 does and fawns. Sooo there are plenty of deer around! I'm excited for rifle season in November when I get home from Nova Scotia!

Hopefully everyone connects with a huge buck this fall.... I have my fingers and toes crossed, and prayers said for all! :):D

btw - I'm excited about my engagement.... but I'm afraid of spooking the deer this fall if the sun is out and it hits my new ring. BLING BLING. hahaha :p

Just got back from Illinois and sad to say did not score. First couple days were hot and windy (85). Then temps dropped to the 60s with wind every day. Movement was limited to early am hours and last light in the evening. I saw one potential shooter 2 times but not close enough. Only 1 out of 7 got a shot and he hit the buck but could not find it. The farm has a 130 min and no doe hunting. Saw deer and turkey at every stand as well as hearing coyotes daily. The big boys are not cruising there yet. We were about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks too early. Sorry guys and gal.

CONGRATULATIONS Steve!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D Somebody had to break the ice!

I missed a spike buck with my bow Saturday. I saw three more bucks and I'm going back to get one soon. My big opener is coming up soon, the week of Nov. 19th. The is our southern tier of NY opener. I've killed my buck that week the last two years.

WOOHOO! We are on the board!!!!:p
