RangerClay
Hi Gang, Just got in tonight and I'm still getting unpacked. You can rack up 9 more points for our team. I bagged a crotch horn and a doe on our vacation. I'll have picks up in a few days. I wish I could put up more points but it is slow hunting in my neck of the woods this year. I passed up 5 or 6 bucks that were smaller than the one I shot. PLUS... there are 5 guys hunting in our camp and I got the largest buck last week. Not pretty. Anyway, I have 3 weeks of season left. Hopefully I can bag something a little bigger.

Chrud
Congrats! Wisconsin's gun season was a bust for me. I will have a couple more chances for a doe with a gun on December 8 and 9, but that will probably be it. I doubt I'll have an opportunity for any late season bowhunting. Maybe something will happen in the late gun doe hunt.
Alisha
Congrats to everyone!! It seems as though I'm the only one who hasn't shot one yet. I went 3 days last week (last monday was opener for rifle season) and the only opportunity I had to shoot a deer in those 3 days was a button buck which I'm definately NOT going to shoot. Hopefully I will be able to get out on Friday and Saturday which are the last 2 days of rifle season. I must say that I was really shocked I didn't even have a chance to shoot a doe. We're usually getting ran over with does and this time around I haven't even seen one!! I know there are several bucks still running around so hopefully one of those will hit the dirt. I need a pep talk or something... I'm super depressed. Also, another thing that makes it worse... is my Dad shot this big boy on the opening day of rifle season, only 150 yards around the side of the mountain from me. I'm super happy for him though... but I must admit I was extremely jealous. LOL! Here's me with the deer..... too bad he didn't come around the mountain to me instead.... :(
buckee
We were just talking about you in Chat last night Alisha, wondering when you'd be back from your trip. Thanks a shame you didn't get one, but that one your Dad got sure is a beauty Way to go Dad !!! Are you still going to be hunting around home Alisha ? Alisha
I would hunt around home if I had anywhere to go. The place where we hunt is an hour and a half drive away. Like I said, hopefully I'll get to go the end of this week. Saturday at least anyway. Btw - we had to use 250 ft of rope, pulled with the 4 wheeler to get that buck up over the side of a mountain. Should we have had to pull that by hand, we'd still be down there trying to drag it out. LOL. It was straight up and down.. walking down to the deer with the rope I slid half way on my butt. Walking back up was a trick in itself too. Keep your fingers crossed for me fellas.

Chrud
My brother has had great luck this week with his muzzleloader. Wisconsin is doe only from December 6 to the 9th...pretty much any weapon you choose. I'll be hunting by his food plot this weekend with the rifle and hopefully something will come out. Several inches of snow on the ground, colder temps all week, should be good.
buckee
All the best Chrud I'm done for the year, so it's all up to you guys now
RangerClay
I have two more weekeneds then I am done. This is the last weekend of gun hunting here in NY. After that we have a week of late archery or ML. It's too cold for the bow so most people use the smokepole. I'll try to get something a little bigger. punkinslinger
Gotta work tomorrow (last day of rifle) so I'll have to give it heck after Christmas with the smokepole for a flat head.
