Hey,

Everyone now has the ability to upload their sinatures, directly from your computer, instead of having to host them somewhere, and Everyone now has the 30k limit for their signature upload, (instead of 13.0 k) directly from your computer. Also, everyone now has the WYSIWYG editor, even if they did not before. They can change it back if they want, but everyone now has it.

Everyone can thank Scott and Brittany (at Greyloon.com)

Right click on the picture(signature) and "Save image as....". choose a folder somewhere in your computer to save it in, such as "My Pictures", which is found in "My Documents", so you know where to find it when you upload.

Then go up to the toolbar in the forums and click on "User CP", and "Edit Signature" (upper left hand side in grey strip toolbar)

Then scroll down to "Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer" and click on the "Browse" button. Then go to the folder you have the picture stored in and click on the picture.

Then just click "Save Signature" .

That should take care of your signatures.

I'm back...been busy with a serious domestic problem since Monday. The kind of stuff that twist your gut into knots that I really want to keep to myself and family right now.

Good news and bad news. Well I killed a doe last Tuesday afternoon. Made a 37 yard shot on her. That's the good news. The bad news is with the problems I went through getting her out of the woods it was about 10:30 that evening when I finally got her out. The retrieval required the use of a chainsaw on a big tree that had fallen across an access road. It would have been a 1 mile drag if I hadn't had my chainsaw at camp. I had a brain fart forgeting to get a pic being in a hurry to get her cleaned that evening as hot as it was. It was way past my bedtime by the time I got here cleaned. Sorry teammates. :o

Not to worry though...I'll get more opportunities. I missed a doe last Tuesday morning when my arrow came off my arrow rest on my new Guardian without me noticing it at full draw. :( I sure felt like an idiot after realizing what happened after turning that arrow loose. After bagging the doe last Tuesday afternoon I actually passed up several does well inside my effective range during my afternoon hunts on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You know you're getting old when you pass up that many does in successive afternoons because you don't want another late night cleaning job in the heat we had down here. Deer movement was poor at best during morning hunts but they sure were active during the late afternoon period.

Thank goodness some cool air has finally moved in now. I'm still healing up from chigger bits though but I'll get over it. I'm heading back to the woods tomorrow in time to make an afternoon hunt. I'll hunt through next Tuesday and come home Wednesday morning. If I bag another doe this time, I promise I won't forget to get pics. Hopefully the next deer though will have some bone on its head. ;)

BTW, last year a young man that's been gun hunting with us since he was a little boy decided to take up bowhunting. After devoting a lot of time this summer practicing, he was ready for his first bowhunt this past weekend. I put him on one of my stands Friday afternoon and he got his first bowkill deer (doe). That made my weekend. :D He had another opportunity Saturday afternoon on another stand of mine. It was a doe too (actually a couple) but he opted to pass, waiting for an 8 point I got on one of my trail cameras at that spot. The buck never showed but he had an exciting hunt with deer inside the 20 yard line that afternoon.

It is understandable Rhino. :) The heat has a way of doing that to you. I know it was a hustle to get my doe out.

I had a four point under me this morning for a good long time. He was like a vacuum cleaner. Could have shot him from all kinds of angles. Tonight I went to the back of the property on the bottom of the meadow and had a spike do the same thing. These deer had no clue I was there they were both feeding so heavy they hardly raised their heads. Was hoping the big boys were on the feed bag...No idea what is up with them. Doing something else today I imagine...

I also had a couple doe in shooting range tonight. I shifted my feet to get a better look at the one and she looked right at me. Played her try to get me to move game...I won!:D Could of knocked her out had I wanted too after she relaxed.

Had some of those happen to me last week too. Funny how you can win that game easy when you're not trying to put a hole in them. :D

I had a doe Saturday afternoon within 10 yards of my stand that wouldn't leave. I hate to let a deer watch me climb out of a tree so I slipped my empty pee bottle out of my pack and had this fleeting thought about trying to drop it on her. Maybe she had a 6th sense about it because she slowly walked off.

They do have that 6th sense! I am a firm believer in that. Especially, the older deer. It is amazing at how many times things are in your favor and they know something is up....

I hear you, Rhino,,,, I don't know if I could carry on the tradition if I had to hunt in these conditions ALL the time. We had a drenching rain this morning and the temperature is in the mid 50's. Except for the breeze the weekend looks comfortable. I'll be out this afternoon. Headed to the swamp.

i passed 2 small P&Y bucks wed morning. one was a 10 point the other a 8 point. the 10 was 130 class and the 8 was 125 class. i was hunting at dougs and i also saw 4 does. the bucks went by me at 17 yards.

the only doe i could have had a shot at just wouldnt give me the right shot at 30 yards. all she needed was one more step and i could have nailed her. still havent seent he big 12 thats running the place that doug has seen a few times. had to work late again last night so i couldnt go out this morning. i finally get a day off, but it looks like its supposed to rain sunday.:( i will be out there if possible.

hopefully sat morning i will be able to get out. kind of sucks when you think your going to get off of work at 11:30 pm and find out at 11:00 pm that you have to stay another 4 hours until 3:30am.:(:p

yea that 6th sense is tough to deal with. why is it that the deer are walking around in the woods and only look up in your tree? they dont walk around looking up into every tree the see.;)

good luck everyone

Tony

We have a weather change. We now have W-SW winds this weekend so I'll be in my food plot stand instead of the T-hedge row. I've taken deer on opening day at this spot too. High temps in the low 50s. Should see alot of activity.

Well, I got a 97% on my Statistics project, and a 95% on my 2nd Physiology exam! We had another unit exam today in Physiology (did well) followed by a take-home to be handed out on Monday. In other words, no tests Monday and I can hunt all weekend!:)

I was looking forward to hearing from my teammates from NY on how their hunts went Saturday. I had a great day. It was a glorious fall day for sure. Crisp and Chilly and the deer were on the move.

I could have helped the team score by 8 if I had not passed on the buck. He came within 14 yards eating apples from the tree I set up near. Had he been a bit closer (a lot actually) to my goals I would have shot him. He was only 1 1/2 and hopefully he he will make it through the season. He was one of the 8 pointers I saw from a couple weeks ago, but not one of the 3 shooters I will hold out for.

There was activity all the way through 11am. I went to the Old Oak stand and had doe and fawns feeding on the acorns under me from 6pm till I couldn't see. I had to drop my pack to the ground to get them to move off.

That doe got me this morning. That sneaky little *%$&$*:D

They've done that to me a few times too :D That's what made me think it would look great in a signature.

Funny how you can walk right past a deer sometimes, and they just stand there, and don't budge, until they see you aren't looking in their direction any more :D
