Hardwood_HD
check out these decoys and tell whats wrong with them, im pretty new at waterfowl hunting.. are these actually lifesize decoys or are they flat ones or what?? seems like a good deal http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0020896225978a&navCount=20&podId=0020896&parentId=cat20831&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20712-cat20831&catalogCode=XH&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20831&hasJS=true
Guest realtrhunter
They are a bit smaller than life size if I remember. The keels are perminatly attached. I have used them before and liked them. I would use more in the timber and if you aren't trying to pull in migrators.
lil hunter
They are a cheaper made decoy. They are made in china, which also makes them cheaper. I know they use to have a lot of paint problems, I'm not sure if they still have them or not.
DU_man_84
those are the hotbuys, they look similiar to the lifesize and oversize, but they are smaller, the keel does not remove, the paint on em is pretty good for toughness, the one draw back i dont like about them hot buys is a real pain in the butt when you wrap, there is no where for your wieghts to wrap around, the heads are to low to the body so you can wrap weights around the neck, they are a good deal, just i dont like not being able to wrap my weights around the neck
Hardwood_HD
so you guys think they would be ok for a beginner then?
dogdoc
so you guys think they would be ok for a beginner then? yep--they will work just fine. If you have them where the ducks want to be--just like any decoy they will work just fine.
dfol20
I am a beginner and that is all I have. Just one dozen of them. No luck yet, but I like them. If you get the rubber band weight attatchments they wrap fine around the keel. Because they are small it is easier for someone hunting alone to pack them in.
