wtnhunt
Finished this one up the other day, and finally got it out today after bowhunting for a little while this morning. Think this one may just be the nicest one I have built yet. Went with a yeti board this time instead of a pix board. Sony p41 camera, used a wide angle pir lens for wider detection range, and a flash enhancing lens to extend the flash range a bit. All tucked nicely into a 1040 pelican case, first 3d camo job on this one too, a shot of it in the field.

wtnhunt
Where do you get all the parts and stuff to make your own? Couple different places I have used. Was using boards and parts from pixcontroller http://www.pixcontroller.com/, but the parts for this last build came from yeticam http://www.yeticam.com/HomeBrew_Parts.htm. wtnhunt
I'm know from experience you'll get some great pics from it. I have a few other p41 setups, the pics from them are of very good quality. Most of the trail cam pics I have posted this year have been from one of the p41 setups. wtnhunt
can I ask why the yeti board this time william? The yeti board was only $40, came with the glass and connectors. Had the board the same week I ordered, pix has some issues with getting customers what they order in a decent time frame. Figured it was worth trying. So far very impressed with the yeti setup. bigmoss
Those P41 are the best, I was able to grab 2 more cams off of ebay in the last few weeks so I am building 2 more to add to the collection also !

Was that you bidding against me:eek:. Hard to get p41's for a reasonable price, but I have managed to get a few reasonable. I have a total of 4 of them, they make great trail cams for sure, always watching for deals on them.

wtnhunt
how you like that Yeti board William??? Well Scott, I had to ask Mark a question about the dips, he answered me within an hour:cool:. Gotta be happy with that kind of response:D. So far while testing, the yeti in comparison to the pix boards seems to be a bit faster:cool:. Will have to see how it does with battery life and overall performance in the field.
