revhard
I was wondering, for those of you that wear rubber botts as I do, do you tuck your pants in your boots, or do you pull your pants leg over your boots? I could understand of you wore scent lok(I do), that it might be ideal to pull your pants over the boot, but no one seems to do it(I dont). But on the other hand, rubber boots are supposed to be scent free, and if you spray them down, what could it hurt? your thoughts.... Tony
actually i tuck my scent loc pants into my rubber boots . the main reason is i try to walk through any cow pies i see and i like to give the boots a little wash in the local creek if its in the way to my stand. once i get to the stnd i pull them out and spray them down. wtnhunt
Have read that it is better to keep your boots inside of your pant legs, will hold the scent in, but I most often when wearing rubber boots do tuck the pant legs down inside of the boots. bwlacy
I tuck my scent lok pants into my rubber boots on the way to my stand. Once I'm in the stand I pull them over and spray them down again.
mule659
I do the same...I tuckthem in while I'm on the ground then pull them out once on stand.
preacherman
I tuck mine in.............have always done it and really don't have an explanation as to why. Just something I have always done. Guess, if you are crossing a little stream or something like that, your pants legs won't get wet. As far as "scent elimanation" I really don't know. rhine16
I actually pull my scent lok pants over. Mainly because of comfort. Everthing else just depends on whether they'll go over the boot or not.
GobblerBuster618
I always tuck my pant legs inside my boot legs. But this year im gonna wear my pant legs on the outside of my boots for scent purposes

The Kid
i just tuck them in expecially when i know i have to cross some water or i have to go through some mud. I like to keep my scent lock nice and clean.
Brad6639
I tuck them in and leave them in. To me it seems that it would trap the scent inside better this way, keeps the camo cleaner (and drier) and it dosent chaaf your leg that way. Tominator
I usually tuck them in, unless I'm walking in a lot of burrs or seedy plants. I hate all that seed falling down into the boot.

MUDRUNNER
Sounds like I'm one of the few that leaves the pant legs on the outside.I have tucked them in before, but my boots get little twigs and leaves in them from some thick waste high weed patches that I have to walk to get to my stands.More than once I've had to stop and dig around in my boot to get out whatever it is that's poking my feet. Rhino
I wear my scent loc pants over my boots and tighten the draw string to help contain any lingering scent on the inside to be absorbed by the suit.

billkay
Unless I know I'm crossing water, I pull the pants over the boots. That way I don't have a puff of stinky feet air shoot out the boot top every time I take a step. What air comes out is filtered through the Scent Lock. Do you tie off your pant leg then so no air comes out of the bottom of the pant leg then??
wildthing
I wear Scentlock and still tuck my pant legs into my boot. Reason why: it feels more comfortable to me, the pant legs won't get wet or muddy at the bottoms (walking creeks), no stags when climbing up into the treestand, less material to rub together that might make a noise when walking or standing up in the treestand, leaves less scent, etc. Most of my archery clothing is relatively form fitting. I don't wear baggy clothing...might get in the way.
rad_112176
I also tuck mine in. I mainly do this because before i started getting scent free crazy i didn't want my camo rubbing on what ever i walked against and leaving my scent. This is when i had just regular clothes and scent spray. I used to leave my pants tucked in even after i got into my stand, but now reading this it makes sense to untuck after in the tree and respray. Always learning something new aren't we.
