Guest mud2water
does anybody know what the value of a sako m995 .270 is. I know there are books out there but I don't want to buy one just for one gun. I think I paid around $600 for the gun about 8 years ago. The gun is in excellent shape and has around 150 shots through it.
Leo
I believe the M995 is only the action model. This action was used on Sako's TRG-S rifles. They had a fiberglass reinforced polymer stock on them. Some also apparently had aluminum skeletons inside the stock. I'm relatively certain that's what you got. You'd have to post a picture or two to confirm. You got a good deal 8yrs ago! Most places were selling that gun for +$800. Sako's hold their resale value very well. My conservative guess is $700 for good, $850 for excellent and $1000 for Mint. Bottomline, if it's in at least good shape you should be able to get more than the $600 you paid for it.
