I have, It was in the afternoon right before the bucks really started to rut up. I shot a PandY at about 530 he scored 143 and had 8 points. Then about a half an hour later a doe came up through the woods. I figured since i already had my buck that i might as well shoot my doe and get deer hunting out of the way so i could turkey hunt and what not. Sure enough i trcked both deer down and when my buddy got to my stand to pick me up I was sitting there with a big buck and nice sized doe. I think it jacked him off a little. LOL:D:D

I had a trip on the opening day of Archery season in 2005. After I shot the first doe, the second doe came in and was actually smelling the arrow of the first deer that I shot. The third doe came in about 5 minutes after that, and all this happend before 8:30 am. I was pretty proud after I climbed down, but my pride quickly turned to exhaustion after I got them all loaded up. Like I mentioned, it was opening morning of archery season, and I was the only hunter that made it down to deer camp that morning. Loading, cleaning and hanging 3 deer by yourself (in the rain) will make you tired, but it sure makes a cold beer taste good! I was finally done by about 2 o'clock that afternoon and I decided not to hunt that evening.

Last year I late afternoon, I had done a little calling and I had a nice 6 pointer come in on my right hand side. He stepped out into the opening and I let it rip. He took off back the way he came. I heard him crash through some brush and sound like he kept moving on out to the front of me. I called a few more times in an attempt to think another deer was there. The next thing I know I had another deer coming directly toward me. I had a decoy out. He stopped and started looking around at it. He walked around to come in facing the decoy. He was kind of hesitant and kept just out of view for a vital shot. He kept doing this for about 15 minutes until he stepped just enough for a 30 yard shot. He didn't run 10 yards and ran into a couple of vines and went down. I went and checked him out and walked 30 yards directly out from him was the 1st deer. Dragging two deer out of the woods with wear you out, but it was all worth it!!!

Just one double on deer while bowhunting back when we had the exception as part of the state's DMAP program.

Basically I was hunting a natural ground blind in the afternoon for the last time before I hit the road to hunt out of state. I had been passing up does up to that point waiting on a particular buck that never showed himself. The first doe came in about 4:00 and I put a hole in her at the 25 yard line. I actually saw her go down about 50 yards from me so I kept hunting. 20 minutes later I had another doe broadside at 20 yards so I got another hole in one. At that point I decided to throw in the towel and gather my deer rather than go for a triple. :D

The only other multiple kills besides that included hogs in the bag. Only one triple (with a gun) on hogs. Should have been 4 but I blew it and let one escape.:D

Here in this state you're suppose to tag your first deer before shooting another. It makes it pretty hard to double right in a row, even if you had the tags and opportunity to do so. Unless of course you want to break the law, which I don't do. I honestly only ever once in my years of hunting had the opportunity to bag a doe both in the morning hunt and another one in the evening hunt, but didn't have two doe tags to do so.

How about a messed up double??? This is story on my dad.

Last shotgun season on opening day, he smoked a doe with his muzzleloader and dropped in her tracks at about 40 yards. Then, about a half an hour later, a 170 class buck came trotting in, sniffed the dead doe and when my dad shot at him, he hit a limb that was about 5 ft. away that he never saw in his scope.

I know that dad has killed two does in one sitting during shotgun season as well.

I my self have shot a double during gun season a couple of times but for bragging rights, my buddy that i hunt with shot these two monsters a few minutes apart from each other during bow season in the sec. week of Nov. The 7 point came right under his stand and shot it right down thru the back. It ran off and at the time he was using a string tracker on his arrow , he watched it pull out about 100 yards of string and it stopped . He then lit up a cigarette to calm his shaking nerves, thinking about the mass on that buck ,took one puff , heard some noise behind him, looked and good lord another monster. With cigarette in mouth he slapped on another arrow and the buck followed the exact same path as the other, WHAMM! right thru the back . The 15 pointer ran about 75 yards. Both Pope and Young , both over 300 lbs. The mounts don't do them justice , they had necks like a bull. I have heard him tell that story probably 100 times and i never get tired of hearing it. Needless to say , he was drunk that night.

Have had several opportunities here in our back field over the years where deer stand around after a shot or have even had deer come out after a shot that were not initially there when the shot was taken.

I have had a double, but with rifle, and it was several years ago as a result of a mistake. Was totally accidental and not at all intentional, case of mistaken identity on two deer in one morning within a fairly short time frame, both deer mature about the same size, both on quick shots.

Long story short, I shot a deer in the morning fairly early on. Was a quick shot on the deer as the deer came out from my right and went away from me downhill, got the deer turned on a grunt and felt like a good shot, but the deer went over a little high spot where I could not see and had some question in my mind. Waited about 30 minutes and went to find the deer when I had the same deer, or so I thought, standing off to my right in a lane. Shot the deer again, and stopped and waited for the deer to crash, then went on to look. Ended up finding later it was two different deer, the first deer was just about 5 yards from where I had shot the deer. Both were less than 40 yards apart when I found them.

Illegal in Ohio I believe. You can take 2 deer in one day, but you have to check the first deer before taking another one.

Yes Chris, that is the way it was a couple years ago. Last year I read the regs and this is the newer reg I believe

For multiple deer permit holders, the first deer taken in the day must have been temporarily tagged before hunting or pursuing another deer.

So at least now we can take the second deer before going to the check station.

But I will be happy with just one.;)

In Penna. it is illegal to shoot two deer at the same time, you must under PA. Game Commision rules, drag out the first deer . You can shoot as many deer as you want in a day, if you have the tags. Being PA. is a 1 buck state, multiple deer harvests in one day are usually doe.

I personally shot 4 deer in one day, all doe. Everytime I would get back in my stand doe would come running by. I think I had some hunting presssure around me that was causing the deer to migrate to this area. Good for me. Never happened again after that though.
