sureshot Posted September 26, 2007 Report Share Posted September 26, 2007 tonight I finally seen my big mule I have been hunting for a month, watched him head into a draw, I went downwind and came up, first finger I seen him bedded,I was super exited, been looking for him for 3 weeks now, I snuck up and at 40 yards he stood up, I seen waht I thought was a sticker and deep upper v's, Plus I was looking inot the sun and was exited, I let rip, he did the bronk buck like a heart shot and turned, I seen it was not him, I was dissapoited yet thankfull I connected on a good buck after many days and night out after one![the sticker was a piece of velvet]I then seen the big boy sneek out behind me, i watched this guy go for a hundred yards or so and drop, I walked up and seen he was weaker on the one side but long beams and decent width, I am a bit sad its over but know lots who would shoot a buck of this caliper with a rifle let alone bow, I also vidio taped this guy in august!I passed him up the first week, I figured he was a 175 gross, turned out to be 176 gross, 166 net with 3 stickers,[1inch at base] I lost 5 inches at one v so other than that really clean, I have pics but the camera was set to high quality and I cannot download them, if anyone knows how to downsize them I will e-mail them to them!just going to skin him and will have pics later!
