BearClaw
What's your favorite 3D deer target? I've been using the Delta Backyard Buck Legend and I like it. It's getting some wear and I'm thinking about trying a new kind. I practice from a ladder stand so I need on with some good size vitals. What's everyone use and why do you like that one? wtnhunt
Using a standard glendel target here, and we do shoot both elevated from sitting on the roof of our shed and from the ground. The target serves its purpose well, and is about the right size for deer in this area.

98chevy
I have a collection of targets. We like a varity. We have a simple bag. 3 backyard bucks standing. (one of those is a doe) 1 laydown buck. 1Full strut gobbler 1 coon And a feeding bayou buck I shoot alot and my buddys come and shoot. So the back yard bucks go quick. The turkey was retired this year also
Hoyt03
I would get the mcKenzie 3d targets with the scoring rings, Moswt realistic ones out there, they are like 200 and above though. Alot of people use the glendale, but that's basically like shooting into a block target with a head and tail. Not very realistic shooting at a deer that big. arrow32
I have an old Mckenzie(sp?) and the middle section from and elk not sure what kind. Don't really have to many 3D targets. Looking at getting a new one this year tho. Have 3 or 4 bag targets I always have up. When I want to shoot 3D I just go down to the shop and do it down there all the times anyway. M00N
We have a McKenzie Tuff Buck target and a RedHead Layered Foam target. I've always had a preference for McKenzie targets. They just always held up better than the other brands of targets we've tried. Next block style target I plan on getting is the McKenzie Bowhunter ShotBlock target. I got to shoot at one recently and loved how durable it was.
Guest splitnock
hands down Rhinehart Our local gun club has about 8 shoots a year with about 75 shooters per shoot and they have rhinehart targets, They've had them for over 2 years now and the are still in near perfect shape. Arrow removal is relatively easy and they are the most lifelike 3 D's Ive seen, but now the down side they are pricey, probably 1/2 again more then a mckenzie

Not very realistic shooting at a deer that big. The glendel targets are actually pretty realistic. Have the standard target here, not the full rut and it is quite comparable to the average size deer we would see here. Also have an old blue ridge that works fine for stopping the wife's arrow, but will not stop mine. Have a bag target too. Really would like to have a couple more, eventually maybe. The full rut I might tend to agree is on the large size and may give shooters a false sense of feeling like they are shooting adequately enough to get the job done when in reality the deer they shoot at in real life the vital zone may not be quite so big.
