SpcNape
I reacently purchased a Fred Bear Instinct. I have really enjoyed it. I was previously shooting a Browning Maxim... about a ten year old bow. I was wanting a bow shorter axle to axle. The bow is quite, fast and shoots so smooth. Does anyone else have one of the new Fred Bear compound bows? I was wondering if everyone else has been pleased with them, or if they haven't liked them? Mach1
I have an Instinct as well. I received it as a birthday gift this spring. I haven't hunted with it yet, but I've loved shooting it so far. It's a good bow for a really good price.

Brad6639
I bought one this spring, and I picked it over bows that were a lot more money. I love how short fast and smooth it is. I had the money to buy a Hoyt or Matthews or bowtech, but picked up an instinct and fell in love immediately. I gave it a team extreme sight, whisker biscuit droptine rest, alpine stabilizer (the one with the bullets in it), an alpine cable slide, limbsaver cable dampener, a satilight bow quiver, and some of the mini limbsavers. this bow is kicking out arrows at nearly 300 fps, and it is 32 inches axle to axle, and shes smooth as butter. In all honestly, it is truley the best bow fitting bow Ive ever shot. I have around 800 in mine, thats with the bow (399) and the rest was all in the accesories. I think it is very smiliar to a Matthews with half the pricetag. Fred Bear really outdid themselves on this bow.
M00N
Does anyone else have one of the new Fred Bear compound bows? I was wondering if everyone else has been pleased with them, or if they haven't liked them? I shoot the 07' Bear Element and absolutely love my bow. I have no complaints on the bow any. My only dislike if I had to pick one out would be the stock string on it, but very few stock bow strings are good enough quality to satisfy me anyway. I expected to change the string for a custom one next year anyway, no matter what brand of bow I came home with this season. It gets the job done, didn't cost me an arm and leg to get and setup, and fits me perfectly. I'm satisfied with the quality of my Bear bow. Hopefully it will give me my first bow kill this season. Dawg
I shoot a 06 Instinct and love it. No problems at all!
Guest antlerhead
my friend you have made an excellent purchase and a smart one. i too have an instinct and love it. i get tired of all the hype associated with the mathews and hoyts etc. yes, they all are great bows , but these new fred bear bows are awesome, i really think they are as good as any of those 900 dollar bows. for about half the price. they are just as smooth shooting and quiet. and they still break the 300fps barrier. what more do you want. i know i saved money and still got a bow thats as good as any mathews.
