wtnhunt
Had mixed results with the original can. Does come in on the call for curiousity early season. Have not really had any luck with the can with bucks at any time of the season though. Picked up a knight and hale can call at gander mountain last weekend, think it is called an ez bleat or something like that. Really like the sound of that call, will be trying it out some this weekend.
Tominator
I have the Quaker Boy bleat, and I must say, early in the season, I have turned a lot of does with that thing. I think they think it's a doe in distress and they come to investigate. Give it a try.
buffett1
I have seen that they now have a long can. It's supposed to give you more sound. I have had some success with the original.
RackBlaster
I use it all season long and called in numerous bucks and doe's. I just recommend buying a new one every year . Two years in a row it let me down by loosing its ability to make the proper sound, now i buy one every year regardless of the condition or amount of use the previous season. lungbuster12point06
Have had real good luck in late oct. early nov. with the can..........hit or miss in the early season, basically I would just use a grunt call in the early season , not the can. BTW the HS tru talker is my favorite grunt tube.......it can also produce some realistic bleats.
The Kid
tried it last year in michigan, the early season didn't have much luck even spooked a nice buck, i wait until the end of october to use mine.

I'd try one of two things before you buy one every year. #1--blow some compressed air down into the can. Sometimes when those things get dust and crap in there they just slide and don't make any sound. Or, #2, get a Quaker Boy, because I've had the same call for at least 5 years (probably more) and it works fine.
Guest antlerhead
when these calls first came out i bought one and had an awesome year. the first year i used it . i called in 18 different bucks with it. finally after seeing a 130 class 8pt. i decided to take him. now this call hasnt worked as well as it did that first year. but i never leave home without it. it does work better around the rut. whenever i see a deer that im interested in, thats not going to come in range i will first hit the grunt if that doesnt work i will try the can. what do you have to lose, especially if you know that deer is going in the opposite direction. As long as you keep them dry they should work. I have had mine for three years now. Called in a buck last year early season turned him once he got close to the Draw 2 from Tinks, he sealed his on deal! Use the little can early season, once the you can tell the rut is on. Then go to the estrus can. On windy days Ill use the Big can during the rut only. I am starting to see more calls working here in PA since the buck doe ratio is down.
