VermontHunter
I need to get a Broadhead sharpener to touch up some blades and I'm considering this one ... Anyone use this model and make of sharpener ?? I figured $11.99 wasn't a bad price ..

mehunter
I shoot muzzy's and usually replace the blades in the fall before the season, and only touch them up with a whet stone in I bump them.
LifeNRA
Luke, I have a cheap sharpener I got from Cabela's. This one. Works good actually! I can shave the hair off my arm with this afterwords. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=search-cat600307&id=0004599414959a&navCount=1&podId=0004599&parentId=cat600307&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=QW&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat600307&hasJS=true
husker
i used the diamond stone from montec and it gets my broadheads scary sharp. use a marker to mark the blades and to know ho9w much material you are taking off and when the marker is gone you are done. just make sure to use the same amount of strokes on each blade. LifeNRA
just make sure to use the same amount of strokes on each blade. Yes! I do this as well! This way you dont make the blades heavier on one side! Do the same amount of strokes on each blade.
buckee
just make sure to use the same amount of strokes on each blade. Yes, that's a must IMO, and I go lighter and lighter with the strokes, for finishing up. I use the Montec Diamond stone and one similar to John's. Works for me.
