I have high hopes for the Avs this year with the addition of Ryan Smith and Scott Hannan. Don't know if they can take The Cup, but they should at least be back in the playoff picture. As long as anybody except the Ducks takes The Cup I'll be happy.

I think the Blue Jackets will win this year:eek:...naw, who am I fooling, we all know better than that:D

I don't think the Ducks can do it again and I don't think the Pens will either. I think Sharks or Oilers from the west this year in the conference championship and Ottawa and Thrashers (Maybe Devils) for the east!

Poor, poor, poor, poor, poor, poor Boston:(:D

Well,I think my Blues will be good enough to make the playoffs this year. They should be able to score more with the edition of Kariya, and the defense is pretty decent. If they get solid goaltending they should be fine.I see the Sens and the Sharks in the cup final. It was nice to see some hockey on TV this weekend!!

Maybe if they would keep a coach around for more than 180 days, Boston could build a team:mad: I never understood that about hockey. They go through coaches like Shawn300 goes through golf balls!:D

What they should have done is snatched Pat Quinn from the Leafs when the Leafs gave him up last year;)

Ohhh the fun begins..... :p:D

Sens are doing good! 7-0 in the preseason. I'm gonna try to make it to the home opener vs. Toronto and see them kick some butt!:D

Let me be the first to buy into the Rangers hype. I love what Drury can bring to a team, and add Gomez and their other free agents to that mix and I like them to win it all. Actually, I think the fact they have that Lunquist guy in net might be their biggerst post season asset..

My Aves should be back in the hunt. If Sakic can have another year like he had last season, look out with Smyth next to him. btw- Joe Sakic is one of the ten best players to ever lace them up.

Well it could be an interesting year for the leafs. The new goaltending situation so far in the pre season hasn't looked that great. Hopefully the defence is better this year. I am predicting that like the past two years it will probably come down to the last game or two to see if we can make the playoffs. I have a feeeling that this will be the year for the sens. It will probably be the last kick at the can for this team together, and seeing that Spezza and Heatley are both in a contract year, I imagine they are going to be unbelievable. Pens will be right there, but I think they are a year or two away from a cup!

I am also curious as to how the Calgary Flames will do this year with Iron Mike as head coach. I don't like him, and the team will either flourish under him or head right for the cellar! If Vancouver can score more goals this year I think they might be in the finals come June!

LOL.. The Rangers have always looked great on paper .. but that's never stopped them from crashing and burning in a big blaze of embarrassment .. :D:D

Drury is a competitor, and a winner though. He's the best leader/grinder that club has had since Mark the Moose Messier played for them. That's the main thing that team has been missing too. Jagr's gonna score points, but he's not a leader. They'll be right there this year.

GUESS WHAT...They showed not one but 2 hockey games here today. The part that sucks is that they showed them live which meant it was in the morning time here. And that means that I couldn't watch it but I did catch the tail end of the Avs and Dallas game during lunch. They showed the games on AFN. I guess that isin't so bad afterall. I have to break out my old VHS tapes now;)

That right there say's it all ...:D;);)

Yup...that's why they brought in Drury, now they don't need Jagr to lead, just score. Good place to be in.

Anyway, right now it's Anaheim, Ottawa, and the Rangers league...I'll be really surprised if one of those three teams doesn't hoist the cup. There's a few teams that are close, like the Pens and Sharks, but IMO, those three teams are on their own level.
