Alisha Posted September 30, 2007 Report Share Posted September 30, 2007 Yesterday was my sisters high school homecoming parade. The theme for the floats this year was "Epic Movie". The senior class decided to do the movie Star Wars. So, the President of the Senior Class, his Dad went out and bought a HUGE piece of styrofoam. From the styrofoam he made an X-Wing, just like from the movie! Several of the seniors painted the thing, all the pictures on the sides of the float, and everything else on the trailer. The inside of the X-Wing was even carved out for one of the guys to sit inside! They were able to accomplish everything in just under 4 days! There was a full blown sound system on it that they played star wars music on.... as well as a fog machine! By far the best float EVER seen at any parade for Shady Spring! Last night we went to the football game at the school and had to wait until halftime to find out if they won, and of course they did! I was so tickled! My sister stayed until 2:30 on Friday morning, finishing the black boards on the back of the float. Out of anyone, besides that boys Dad, my sister was the most dedicated to it. I'd be willing to say she did close to 1/2 of all the painting on the float. She's the Vice President of the Senior Class and most definately did her fair share, unlike some of the other student council members, who didn't even show up at all in the 4 days they worked on it.
