Well yesterday i was at the lease and i saw the buck i want to try and harvest this year he looked to be around 18" wide with some tall tines and good main beams. Him and another small buck was in the food plot for a good 20 to 30 minutes if i can get a north wind I can slip in a get in the ground blind i set up there. Now I have my fingers crossed hoping a can connect on him. Thought I would lwt everyone know.

Hey,

Everyone now has the ability to upload their sinatures, directly from your computer, instead of having to host them somewhere, and Everyone now has the 30k limit for their signature upload, (instead of 13.0 k) directly from your computer. Also, everyone now has the WYSIWYG editor, even if they did not before. They can change it back if they want, but everyone now has it.

Everyone can thank Scott and Brittany (at Greyloon.com)

Right click on the picture(signature) and "Save image as....". choose a folder somewhere in your computer to save it in, such as "My Pictures", which is found in "My Documents", so you know where to find it when you upload.

Then go up to the toolbar in the forums and click on "User CP", and "Edit Signature" (upper left hand side in grey strip toolbar)

Then scroll down to "Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer" and click on the "Browse" button. Then go to the folder you have the picture stored in and click on the picture.

Then just click "Save Signature" .

That should take care of your signatures.

Hello to all. I just found out I am on this team. I have been out in the woods alot. I want to wish you all the best season yet!!!! I also want to give a BIG CONGRATS to a-junky on his buck!!!! Way to put us on the board!!! My season started on Oct 1st but it has been real hot here, but a cold front moved in yesterday and I am pumped for the season. I am seeing lots of does and their little ones. I got some video of a button buck lickin my latter stand and couple of little bucks play fighting in the creek last night it was cool. I did take a couple of kids out youth season and we put the smackdown on couple of little bucks. I havent seen much of the big bucks, I think the heat has had them moving at night. The farmers are getting the their crops out so hopefuly we will be in to them soon. Happy to be here and to all GOOD LUCK and HAPPY RUTTING!!!!!

I was out yesterday morning with my son. We had nothing that gave us shots. Seen over 2 dozen deer. A small 6pter was running does( kind of early huh?). Nothing in the morning, but had great activity.

It the afternoon Joe and I went out, but he on the ground in sitting on a milk crate and me up a tree about 100 yards away. Modern conveniences help make the hunt soo much easier.

My son got a call from another neighbor who was hunting not far away that a convoy of does were headed our way. Joe radioed me and I got ready. The 1st 2 does went right past me. The 3rd one made me as I was reaching for my bow. I radioed Joe that 2 were on the path his way. While I was frozen with the other deer, Joe called me back and said he had a doe on the ground. Atta boy :D...even if he is on another team:p

This morning was wicked windy so we didn't go out.Too many widow makers in those woods. We are waiting on the wind to die down to get back out there in the afternoon.

I did see a cool non typical yesterday. It had a antler that curled downward like a cape buffalo and back up the skull into a forkhorn with a kicker. The other side had a spike. Nothing unusual about this buck except its rack. Most of the time messed up bucks like that have a rear leg issue, not this one.

If the wind dies down we will be back out there.

Good Luck team.

Congats to Joe on the doe kill. I went out sat it was 51 degrees so i thought i would give it a try. I got settled into my treestand early and about 6:50 I gave a light grunt and about 5 min later a spike came in from behind me looked around made a half circle in the woods and stepped out at 19 yards. I was watching him when he turned and was watching he eased out of sight and a couple of min later he came back and had a nice 8 pointer with him. I sized up the 8 and decided not to shoot cause he was a little on the small side and a week ago i saw a really big buck. The buck had about a 13 inch spread G2's and G3's were about 6 to 7 inches long with really good brows and long main beams a young deer looked to be about 2 1/2 year old will be a good one next year. I will be doing a few afternoon hunts this week and hopefully will lay the smack down on a nice buck. Good luck team.

Thanks for the congrats. I taught Joe all he knows :D

I was out this morning and the wind was all wrong. The only 3 deer I saw winded me and that was that. A forkhorn and 2 does. I got out of the tree at 9 am with nothing moving. The fawn Joe orphaned Saturday was bedded right where Joes doe fell. I saw her on the way back to the house. If she don't go away, she may have to ...go away:D.

I am working nights so i gives me the opportunity to get out in the mornings. I could hunt in the afternoon, but it would really complicate things if I wacked one. I'd never get to work on time between draggin and guttin. Then I have a hour drive to work:(. So the pm weekday hunt is ONLY if I see a big buck in the AM:D

My son Joe dropped his books picked up his camo and is in the woods as we speak.

Good Luck team APH

I have been out a half dozen times and nothing good presented a shot.

My son Joe( Squirrelhunter91) last Sunday nailed a whopper of a 1st buck. A big 8 that measured like 90 inches, field dressed at 160lbs. So live weight should've been like 210 I'm thinking.

http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64392

I have been really interested in him getting a buck. Now that thats out of the way...I can concentrate on my deer.

What has everyone else been seeing?

The pre rut is underway. My son said when he shot his buck, that morning bucks were grunting and running does.

If the weather holds out, I'll be out this afternoon.

It has been crazy hot for the end of October here in NY.
