Tominator
Do you mow off the oats as they grow? I've never grown oats before, but I put down some Buck Forage Oats back in August. One plot is up about 4" now and I was just wondering if you let it come up or do you mow it off to keep tender new grow coming. Thanks. rhine16
I plant oats along with my clover and rye. It never gets tall enough to mow because the deer have gotten it by then.
dogdoc
never mowed oats in the fall. I have mowed them in the spring after they have headed out to open up canopy and scatter seeds for turkeys.
