They took the Illusion and shortened the BH by 3/4 inch, longer ATA by 1.5 inches, and made it a 318-326 IBO. They also came out with the Grand Illusion which is a hybrid of the X..........big surprise..........It does have a 7 inch brace height, 35 inch ATA, and 322-330 IBO.

Seems like they really stepped up to the plate this year. Hope they improved the cams..........only time will tell.

Until I have solid pics and good info on the others I'll wait. Mathews and Hoyt haven't dropped their line yet.

Carry on,

I'm not in the market for buying anymore, so i dont need to look :).

BTW- Did Bowtech keep the small grip or did they go back to the old one? When i went in to shoot the 07's, I shot two or three and then asked if all Bowtech grips were that small?(First time i had ever shot one). My bow shop guy said "No, they just changed it this year, I'm finding that most everyone doesnt like it."

Seen the new BowTechs over on AT.I know 2 people that sold their Mathews to get a Guardian the past few months. They've really came on strong the last couple of years.A buddy of mine just bought an X-Force and it just didn't feel right to me,but it's fast.Looks like Bear is hitting the market pretty strong too.If I have the funds and can clear it through momma, I might try and pick up a new bow next spring.

I'm not sure on the grips but I can understand selling just about any bow to buy the guardian. That thing is flat out one of the best bows I have ever shot. I loved the guardian.........Wasn't big on the commander though. I hope Mathews and Hoyt stepped up cause they got some stiff, stiff competition this year.

Thought about getting new one

I was thinking about getting a new bow. I was looking at bows by BowTech. Gander Mountain's TechHunter I think, and the Diamond Black Ice. I've shot them both. They both have good back walls and are solid bows with a smooth draw. I noticed the black ice actually had some more vibration after release, however it was a stripped bow with no anti-vib. accessories.

Tried Reflex bows and felt they were too heavy for my liking, but shot smooth.

Yet to try Bear's the Truth or the Matthews Drenalin. The Drenalin doesn't have any draw length adjustment, without getting a new cam. That was a turn off.
